Ok I had a 40k battle again after quite a long time.
My list:
General with Plasmapistol and Powerweapon, Personl Icon
10 Lesser Deamons
2 squads of 10 CSM with 2 Plasmaguns, a Champion with Combi-Plasma
5 Chosen Ones
My opponent:
Crisis Commander with 2 Bodyguards
2 squads of 10 Firewarriors
6 or 8 Attack Drones
3 Ghosts
1 Hammerhead
Turn1:
He went first and just moved the Ghosts a bit forward to get them in range to my normal CSM but couldn't fire as he was 1" too far away. The Hammerhead shot at my CSM but it scattered too far away and just hit a ruin.
My CSM started to run forward and the 2 squads (1 with the General) advanced a total of 11" and 12"... The Chosen Ones moved on top of the hill and were in Rapid Fire range to the Ghosts. 1 Ghost was killed by Boltgun fire, the other by the Meltagun.
Turn 2:
He couldn't see me anymore with the Hammerhead but now his Firewarriors and Commander openend fire and killed 1 CSM. The remaining Ghost fired his Meltagun at the Chosen and killed 1.
The Deamons came, but scattered into a building, but I rolled the Delaying result.
My squads ran again this turn and were now close enough for opening fire this turn. The Chosen Ones assaulted the Ghost now and caused an massacre advancing a wonderful 6" standing right in front of the building with the Fire Warriors and the XV8s.
Turn 3:
This time shooting was more successful for him. He shot a total of 7 CSM and the Hammerhead tried to shoot a squad of CSM but the armour was too strong.
The Chosen Ones moved up into the first level of the building.
The other CSM advanced a bit more and opened fire on the Commander and his bodyguards, killing all of them with Rapid fire, but 1 Plasma Gunner died due to overheating. This turn also the Deamons had arrived where they should have due to the Personal Icon of the General. Running at the now free position in the building right out of sight of the other fire warriors. The Chosen Ones could finally assault the first squad of 10 Fire Warriors and killed 7 of them in the first turn. The Fire Warriors ran but were killed when the ran. Repositioning allowed me to get in a better position again.
Turn 4:
The Drones opened fire on the normal CSM and the Hammerhead failed to hit anything again. The Fire Warriors killed another CSM but that's it.
The Chosen Ones keep moving through the ruin to the other FWs. But actually the Deamons were faster already and assaulted them. Killing 5 and losing one of them. This squad is running now too but also killed while running. The CSM had shot at the Drones before and now assaulted them, reducing them to 1.
Turn 5:
Nothing to shoot at for the Hammerhead and the last Drone dies against an Aspring Champion, a Plasmagunner, and the General.
The 3 normal remaining CSM advance towards the Hammerhead.
The Chosen Ones and Deamons left the ruin again and started to pursue the Hammerhead as well.
Turn 6:
The Hammerhead tries to shoot at the Plasmagunner with a Massive shot... and misses as always...
Plasmagunner and General open fire with the Plasma Weapons and do no damage except shaking it a bit...
Turn 7:
As the scenario forced us to roll a dice at the end of turn 6 we had to go for a turn 7. He moved away and tried to survive with the tank as it would have been a draw then.
Plasmagunner and General mange to hit and actually the Plasmagunner causes a hit and downs the Hammerhead. Right away the Deamons start to asssault it in CC.
Unfortunately there was no turn 8 anymore. Otherwise the Hammerhead would have died for sure as the Deamonttes would have started tearing it apart and also the General, Champion, CSM, and 4 Chosen Ones would have used their Kraks to attack it in CC. So it was a minor victory for Chaos
