Seriously though, It's ages since any of the original Modissars have been on this forum.

You don't become a Modissar by making loads of posts. If that was so, I'd should have been made one by now one by now. Since July I have made 666 posts.
Rolling Thunder and Commisar would also have been made Modissars, they have been very active recently.
What the hell's a screenie?

I have been active for ages, I took a short break in the summer though no fault of my own, but I am usually almost always on, sometimes all night.
And Its not posts that count I know.

I agree with what mabus said, what happened to all the old moddissars? and azalar, heres a tip, if you ask for something like becoming a moddissar there is less chance of you becoming one, tboy didnt ask to become one, and I can sure as hell bet that GoD didnt ask either. and I am like cadian117 I check here like every few minutes if I can, but I dont always post...

I'm here, I'm here hehe. right now the mod crew is woz as head honcho and goddess as 'first mate' with me as the star trek dude in the red shirt (first to die in every episode). I make a point to at least check the board once a day, and if there's something that needs moderating, please pm me about it - that's the one thing I always look at when I come thru - I see if I have any pm's. it's impossible for me to find the time to check out every thread so I depend on you guys to point me in the right direction when things start getting crazy in a thread. as far as new mods go, that's not my department, so I can't say one way or another, but if woz feels the need for more, then he'll recruit some fresh blood. I was a member of the board for probably about 3 years before I became a mod and I honestly never wanted to be one, so never asked for mod-hood. I dunno if that had anything to do with woz's decision, but that's how it was for me. if you want something like modhood, find ways to inspire the community. interactive things are really good, like the IGMB paintoff legacy is an example. getting people fired up about painting and working on their armies and enjoying a bit of competitive goodness at the same time to make it that much more fun - also getting the forum craftpeople to come together and have a venue to showcase their work, all with the prize pot in the background, where you can win some really nice stuff if you are capable of pulling off the hardcore move and winning the competition. think about things that you can do to involve the community - these things typically take an investment in time as a basic 'price' to pay into the project, but if you're a regular poster, then you're already putting that time into things. if you can sink $10 then you can give a real prize for your contest and offer something which people really like since they're participating for the potential of a reward now too. I dunno, it's hard to think of something new as I type this, since I've been doing the paintoffs for the last couple years now (since before I was a mod), but I imagine you guys can think of something cool if you put your heads to it. by the way, I'm still alive, WoW hasn't consumed me ... yet.. hehe oh, and azalar, if you want to move in the direction of getting yourself ready for something like being selected as a new mod, then you'll want to hone your diplomacy skills.
