Hello, everyone. This is my second attempt at making terrain. This time, I decided that I needed a road. I took a normal piece of wood, beveled the edges, then sprayed it with gray textured paint, and a light layer of black over that to get that asphalt look. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to improve my designs, as I know there are hundreds of ways to make roads. I was thinking of adding foliage to the side, but thought it would limit what kind of board I could use it on. I know it's rather narrow, but it's what I had around. I'll be making longer, wider roads at some point. Comments and Criticisms welcomed and appreciated. Thanks, Aeon (or whatever you're going by these days). I don't know about all that, but I'll at least make an oil spill or something. I'm thinking Hot glue or PVA glue coated with ogryn flesh to look like oil? Might that work?

Nice and simple, I really like it. Are you planning to add more sections?

Thanks everyone. Looks like this is a pretty solid method for road-making.
@ Col Corbane: Definitely planning on more sections, it's not nearly long enough. Just a little nervous about trying to cut good curving pieces.
@funnyjunk: I know it's not wide enough (your standard russ just barely fits on it), but it's more of a footpath at the moment. I'm just using it to see if the textured paint on top of wood would look right. If I make a full-sized version, I'll be sure to post it here.

You could probbably make partially fadded rode lines by going over white or yellow lines with drybrushing black over them and if you want signs with bullet holes or something like that you could heat up a safety pin with a liter and poke it through the terrain pieces Cat
