More you say? Ok. I bit late-ish, but better late than never, right?
As usual life, work, womenfolk, larping, computer games and lack of decent camera got in the way. I recently got another paint-kick, though, and have painted a lot recently. I even got a mate to bring over a decent camera for some documentation.
Now, these are painted over a period of almost four years, with extended year long breaks. The quality is thus quite varied, as I have often had to practice a bit before i remember which brushes are good for what, and how best to do certain things.
The army has at least reached a painted 1500p, if I count the old, badly painted Leman Russ. I repainted one of the old chimeras by simply respraying it with black base, and it turned out fine. If my phote-enabled mate turns up again and is still keen to help me photograph, I'll share that too.
Now, how did i show pictures decently again?...

As an appetizer, another picture of the Bassie, but this time by a decent photographer.

Too continue the theme, here's the last of the documented vehicles, an armoured Sentinel. Rules-wise, the scouts seem a lot better to me, but come on! This is so much prettier! I've magnetized the weapons, so i can but all options on there. Magnets are cool!

No! Wait. I've got photos of one more vehicle. I airbrushed this the same time I did the Bassie, and finally painted it... I don't quite remember, a year later? Something like that. The same friend who gave me so many dudes supplied it fully assembled. The Guy in the turret is supposed to be a commisar, but I thought an officer would fit better, and I could pretend he's that tank ace-dude if i have some points to spare. Also, black is so last year.

Well, time for some dudes. Let's start with the Signifer. Bannerman. Whatever. The guy who gave me the model told me it was rather difficult to get a hold of. Anyone able to elaborate? It's solid metal, completely unconverted. Uhm, yes.. It seems I coulnd't find this old thread when I painted it, and I didn't quite remember what I called the army. So it turned out to be 62 instead of 26. Oh well.

This guy! I love this model. I've never seen it badly painted. His expression.... it tells us everything we need to know about the Empire of man.

A commisar. Also great fun to paint. At the point where I painted it, I was getting a bit tired of painting, but the whole model just... well, it sounds like a cliché, but it felt like it painted itself.

Last one for now. A sniper. I painted it up without the camo, coated it with purity seal, and showed some pics taken with my mobile to friends. They all claimed they thought it looked ok, but I wasn't quite happy with it. So i went back and did some patterning on the cloak. Not completely happy with how the colour turned out, but less dull than plain brown.

Nice paint job! If the sniper miss, its because of his gun being melted by the sun.. The red beret sgt's beret looks a bit odd, as its floating, you should cut off a little more of the head and then green stuff the beret; or you should check out madrobot heads, there are some ace beret heads there. madrobotminiatures.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=9_10

I really like the sniper's cloak, I think it looks very realistic.
I love the Tank Sergeant too, he looks as though he's surveying the battlefield before giving his orders.

It's solid metal, completely unconverted. He's a limited edition figure that was included in the first Cadian army boxes back in 2003 ish.

Love everything about this lot, realistic colours are so fantastic for guard, interested in the tanks were they mostly done by spraying the camo on first?

Thanks for the kind words! Mac: yeah, there are lots of cool beret-heads out there. More fun to greenstuff myself though, even somewhat badly. BG: Thanks! My curiosoty is sated. Ulrik: Tanks are airbrushed into camo, then detailed up with brush. By the way, I just finished painting an aegis defense line (that is, the line, not the turret yet), and for some reason, i decided to do it with a brush. They turned out ok (will take pics and get them up here eventually), but god damn, that was time consuming. And boring. Never painting anything large without an airbrush again, I can tell you that.

stunning paint job, amazing quality stuff. I am intrigued by the guy on the side of the basilisk though, looks like he either wants a hug, or is beginning the ymca...

I meant to have him look like he was shouting suggestions to the other guys and pointing out targets, but I see what you mean, especially in the last pic.

I'll break my original intention of only showing done stuff and show a peek of my newest project: A new squad. I converted and painted a guardswoman a while ago, the way I think guardswoman should be: sensible. Proper unboobed armour, standard kit, thus the only difference would be the head. This was the result (crap pic, but at least it's a finished model) Then, last monday, just before I painted up my Aegis Defense Line (I should take some crap pics of that too to show you guys if my mate with the good camera doesn't wisit again soon), I built and converted these guys: (yup, I took the first pic five minutes ago, so you can see WIP versions of these in the background) Bloody defense line took all week to finish, especially the quad gun took soo damn long, and all the time I really just wanted to get started on these. Today I finally got to it, though, and having based all of them, I detailed and highlighted the first: Havent based it properly yet, and I'm not sure you can see it on the horrid photo, but I'm not quit happy with her hair. Specific C&C on thid model would be very welcome! And generally: What do you think of female guard?

I couldn't help myself. Here's two more. Used a flashlight to get some more and colder light on it, but I think it's my mobiles camera thats the biggest problem.

No one has strong opinions on guardswomen? OK then. Still crappy shots, but we'll have to endure, I'm afraid. Anyways, I now have 1500p in troops with paint jobs I'm ok with. The last Leman Russ and Chimera will have to wait a bit before they're refurbished. Group shots: They're all placed basically in the units they'd be fielded in. What do you think?
