The site itself is quite old, however they have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to helping you develop a list and devise tactics against any enemy. Just check out the forums!

I never said it wasn't interesting. I felt like I had jumped back ten years or so...
And great news: the BA are in the works for a re-vamp. Considering how quickly GW works, though, it'll be a few years before it's out.
Here's to hoping that it's another free .pdf and not a $30 book.

M'okay... the first two are 2K, the second two are 2.5K. If you have any questions on deployment/ tactics let me know. That last one is just crazy enough to work... And since the BA 'dex is free, I'm comfortable posting costs.

heres the list i use most often HQ Captain- jump pack, power wep, melta bombs Honour Guard(5)- plasma pistol, power wep, priest, tech, plasma gun, jump packs Chaplain- jump pack TROOPS Assault squad(5)- plasma pistol, power wep, shield, melta bomb Assault squad(10)-plasma pistol, power wep, shield, melta bomb Assault squad(5)- power wep, shield, rhino Tactical squad(10)- Plasma pistol, power fist, flamer, heavy bolter, rhino ELITE Veteran Assault Squad(6)- melta gun, flamer, plasma pistol, power fist Death Company(5)- jump packs Scouts(5)- 2 snipers Fast Attack Attack bikes- 2 multi meltas, 1 heavy bolter Land Speeder- Multi Melta Its exactly 2000 points and has worked pretty well for me so far

Only advice might be to put another assault squad in rhino, and strap some HKs onto those rhinos, perhaps losing the jump packs on the death company and Chappie. Using the run rule can help cover some distance, without those jumpy packs. But HKs can be a game winner. I've immobilised both a land raider, and destroyed a Valkyrie with an HK strapped to a Rhino. Their expensive and a single shot, but even against an independent character they are still a unlimited range bad-ass Krak Missile.

Grrrrr My guard army is only half started and I want to collect some SM, particularly some BA's!!
Im poor and have no job currently but the draw of blood calls to me!!

Well, don't ignore it! The more BA players we can get, the sooner Sanguinius will rise again!
Just buy an assault squad next time you go out to the store. Remember you can put the regular backpacks on them, and take a rhino for free. AoB will heavily advocate that plan.

But Im liking the Jump Packs. Tempted to get some spare ones and put them on a squad of guard Um I have now started to plan my BA army. This is slightly bad due to the fact I have 4 armies already and no money. I ran out of paint yesterday too Well I have blood red so thats all that matters. Thinking a combined BA and IG army. Will need to write some fluff for it though. *reads doctrines for many months, mind almost melting*

Well either way that would be a win. Aslong as an enemy of the Emperor does not win. The jump guys landing in the middle of a IG army would make for an interesting battle.

Yeah... don't go jump-heavy against something like IG. They'll get slaughtered. Too true. I have a purple BA successor Chapter (2500points) called the Angels Amethyst. They are all jump infantry or teleporting Termies, so its a small army. They get massacred too easily by rough riders, proving that the horse boys will always reign supreme over assault smurfs. Also rough riders charge 12", so you can't ever outrun them after they fleet and charge at you. It was an artistic project, and my DC with jump packs are in mad kung-fu poses. Does anyone reemember the Flesh Eaters (red armour successor)?
