Listening to a couple very old folksongs I never heard before, but caught on my local folk-music radio show: "False Knight on the Road," and "Flash Company," both by The Outside Track.

Right now, I am listening to queens of the stone age... As are half of my Village Later, I shall purge my street of Chavs using Lamb of God, Machinehead, Motionless in White, Cradle of Filth and maybe even Miley Cyrus.... I'm just screwing with you Dave.

There has been a ton of Queen on various radio stations lately which I approve of. Aside from that I've pretty much had Chromeo's discography on repeat for near a month.

Just returned from a trip to the UK and Ireland, got to hear some great Irish music in Westport and Lisdoonvarna (both on the west coast of Ireland). In Westport, we were in Matt Molloy's Pub, owned by a member of the Chieftains, and he actually came out to play a session with the group! The group in Lisdoonvarna played some old standards, sadly including Danny Boy which my dad and I have never liked. Oddly, given the location, they did NOT know the classic tune " Road to Lisdoonvarna."

My latest, obviously beginner's, folk-music video. Next up is probably Rhyme of the Chivalrous Shark, but my coworkers are badgering me to do Real Ould Mountain Dew.

My next video, one of the few gospel songs I know, and the only one that doubles as a retelling of a Civil War battle:
Rhyme of the Chivalrous Shark is next, probably tomorrow.

All chevaliers are shark-like in nature.

And here it is:
My voice caught a few times, particularly on the punchline, but I decided not to try yet again. I have a little difficulty sometimes figuring how high my voice should be.
Currently learning Rosin the Bow, but torn which song I should record with it. I'm sure I'll do both eventually, but maybe not one after the other. I know Catalpa, an Australian-Irish rebel song, better, but the anti-slavery song The Liberty Ball feels more appropriate as the 150th anniversary of Juneteenth (the freedom of Texan slaves at the very end of the Civil War) is coming up.
Of course I could just work on another song for now... but I'm getting better and better at the current tune.

The Liberty Ball, an antislavery song with an Irish tune. My camera's sound isn't as good as I'd like.

Another sea song, this one an American whaling variant of the classic Spanish Ladies. With a hiccup in the third verse, but I got tired of rerecording the bloody thing. The best sound for me comes when recording thru Youtube, but their recording "studio" keeps hanging up in the middle of recording and deleting everything I've done up to that point.

A classic Civil War song, in honor of PoW's everywhere. You are not forgotten.
For once I like how this one came out... I think I'm improving.

Wait that's you?
Well done. It's a definite improvement since the first video.
At the moment, I am listening to music so dreadfully cheesy, it is practically a theme song for 40K; if 40K had never ceased being a late-80s cheesefest.
