More from BOLS, sorry, they didn'y name their source:
Spear of Sicarius This July release is a large Planetstrike formation featured in the book. It is the army Sicarius used during his famous Planetstrike assault and is presented as a perfect SM Planetstrike army (similar to the battle company and SM Megaforce have been in the past). It is a hybrid set containing both metal and plastic. There is a diagram of it laid out in the Planetstrike Book much like the diagram of Sicarius company in the SM codex.
Dark Eldar We hear tales that the long months of sculpting and design for the Dark Eldar minis are coming to a close, and they are moving into the production phase. They will not be the next codex (Space Wolves are next), but they are coming soon thereafter

The SM bit doesn't bother me, they are already spoiled, but I am interested by the dark eldar thing, they were my first army and I still hold a soft spot for the spiky little guys.

My mate plays dark eldar. You won't believe the awsome 3rd edition toys they get to play with.

That's an interesting point, now when the book is finally getting done, do the DE players -really- want a new one?

Dark Eldar will be cool when they come out, hopefully they will be a well balanced army compared to the other factions that are out right now.

Sounds more like it's just a bunch of existing things thrown together in a new box. It's not like that takes up much in the way of resources.

Yeah, I think it'll probably be a way to really sell their second wave Marine mini's.
Basically it'll be: Buy this box! Don't wanna play Ultramarines? Well then we have this wonderful looking Vulkan Hestan mini to lead your Salamanders! Add in a brand new Ironclad Dreadnought, and you're ready for war!

No, I don't want to play Ultramarines... *pouts, I wanna play my custom chapter from last 'dex*
Anyway, does anyone know if the Guard are getting similar treatment w/ our second wave stuff?

The eight ball says, "outlook not so good." SM's are the money maker after all...
Now I'd wish they'd just make a Dark Angels Errata that actually clarified some of the contradictions in the respective codecies rather than "Do whatever feels good. Yeah!"

Does anybody thinks there will be anything remotely like an aircav list/formation for the Guard in Planetstrike? It does seem the logical place to put this if not the Codex...

Guard are going to be stupid sick in Planetside. Defender: unlimited heavy support choices. Epic lulz. Attacker: unlimited elite and fast attack choices. Oh my, that's a lot of stormtroopers in a lot of Vendettas!

I aggree. And, btw, you can already do an Air Cav list. take veterans as you rtroops, by valkyries. I'm not really sure what else is required.....

I believe that there is a limit on the heavy support choices for the defender, and the fast attack choices for the attacker.
That limit is six.
Which is still 18 Leman Russes and 18 Valkyries.

Huzzah for Leman Russ Squadrons! What I'm looking forward to is some alternate rules. I always loved using alternate rules in 40k games because it livens it up a little bit from the boring basic game...

If they come out with a DE plastic army, I might pick 'em up. Always wanted to make a deranged Haemonculous with pins sticking out of his head and a little cube.

Yes we will... we're mostly whiny ten year olds who use the parents' money, or we're cool vets who have so much stuff that buying another new box is a novelty.
I'm neither of those, and I have no money. And I'm not interested in marketing gimmicks. I'm getting the Planetstrike rules, and that's it... I think...

diy battle company? check.
two more SMurf armies at aprox 2000 points? check.
yeah...I have enough Space Marines for awhile... and none of the new stuff really grabs me.
Planet Strike however...those walls and bunkers sure do look pretty...
now...who do I have to flay alive to get me some more info on the new Dark Eldar ?

Mine was Veterans, hardened fighters and carapace armour. My problems were inquitous points costs and few models.
