Today, I hope nothing bad happens to my socks. I have to wear those... Sock Galatea says your socks are safe ...for now.

That's something at least. The real Galatea took Reds's socks...

Then he took her blanky.
Then she took his life, forcing him to be forever interred within a Dreadnought.
And the moral of the story is, don't take Galatea's blanky in retribution for anything.

We should make it an annual event. Galatea Day.
Or is everyday Galatea Day for you, ymmot?

Yes.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm taking this too far...
and then I realize, eh...screw it, I'm having too much fun.
*turns his head sideways* Isn't that right sock puppet Galatea.
*nods his wrist enthusiastically.*

Well, it'll be her responsibility to read all the stuff that happened in her absence. I think she could just skim and make guesses, and knowing her, she'd not be far off the mark.

Today, I was beaten in one of the most vicious and close-fought encounters I've ever played. My opponent was extremely lucky, myself, relatively unlucky (He agreed with me on this assessment).
Good times.

Guard. 20 man combined squad with mortars, command squad, master of Ordnance, 2 units of veterans in chimeras with flamers/heavy flamers, Leman Russ Battle Tank with sponson bolters, Hull Lascannon and Pask, 2 units of 5 Ratlings, and 10 Stormtroopers.
Lost both my Russ battlecannons on turn one. Lost a few Guardsmen. 4 Krak Missiles failed to hurt anything.
Second turn, one Valk turns up. Veterans kill a Heavy Weapons Team. Pask vapourised the Valk and the veterans are killed by flamer veterans. Ratlings kill off my company command.
Third turn, nothing turns up. Guardsman Marbo arrives and misses with his demo charge. Marbo then dies to massed lasguns. Ratlings wipe out my company command.
Fourth turn, most of my Guardsmen die to flamers and mortar fire. Enemy moves up his second chimera. Vendeta turns up and vapourised a chimera. Valkyrie turns up an obliterates a second HW team (lascannons). Pask then vapourises the Vendetta. Sanctioned Psykers fail to hurt anything. Stormtroopers turn up. One Russ tank shocks them, forcing a retreat.
Fifth turn - surviving squad of veterans from the second Valk move and contest the objective, killing the enemy commander in close assault. Stormies rally and mop up the remainder of my combined squad.
Sixth turn - his units move up and vapourise my veterans with massed lasguns. Pask vapourises the Vendetta, the Russ rams the remaining chimera and finally wreck it. All the veterans now die. The Psykers kill a few Guardsmen and the enemy platoon commander.
End of battle, he holds one objective, and contests one. I lose.
If the battle had ended at turn five, I would have drawn, but as it was, I was immensely unlucky throughout the entire game.

Today... I found Mystery Science Theater 3000 available for instant viewing on netflix. Better yet, the earliest episode I could find features the first installment of the 1952 serial Radar Men from the Moon. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radar_Men_from_the_Moon

Today, I'm trying to think of a DH story for my in-store group.
I've got the setting and first mission, then nothing.

Lets see how them scouts like AP4. Today... after a long thought and a bit of codex wandering I've decided to push my IG army to 6000 points by adding another leman russ, a second valk, 20 guardsmen, and a baneblade. that is 5400 points stuffed into one FOC plus super heavy tank!

They're the only infantry in the SM Codex the Hellhound can deny armour saves to. Also, they're wonderfully flammable. Reds

Reds You know what I love about the hellhound it goes down wonderfully easily to combined myssile fire, and if you take a squadron I'll just lob some tremor shells at you. Dangerous terrain tests do wonders on vehicles. also you forgot bout the retards of the 40k community, Servitors.

Heh, glad to see you think the same way about my HH as my other opponents. I use it as a suicide vehicle, since it's such a great distraction.
Today, I dropped a mini head first into a paint pot.
Fortunately, it was a Black Templar, and the paint was Chaos Black, so I just did a little damage control with my brush. He looks okay now.

That is one impatient black templar.
Also...real IG commanders do not fret at the lose of a single unit, plenty more where that came from, plenty of ways to get the job done.
Did I mention the casualty count in almost all of my games is ridiculously high? Yep, I'm almost as bad as Chenkov...
