I love them, personally. Wooshing around the battlefield, laying waste to tanks and infantry formations.
Thoughts?

Leave 'em at home or risk getting into a massive arguement over the everchanging rules.

hopefully apocolypse will clarify them a bit for us, especially as one of the plastic IG releases is supposedly gonna be the valkyrie which is a flyer.

Sweet. I've always wanted a Valkyrie, I've grown a taste for the look of them.

It's a shame though. They look a bit too modern. Most regiments are based upon troops from different periods. Paetorians are based upon colonal british troops. Mordians are based upon 20th Century dress uniforms. Vahallen are basically russian WWII troops. I play Death Korps of krieg. DK are based upon WWI german troops. All thses regiments would look a little weird with futuristic looking gunships.

Well i think they are trying to gear it twords the cadians more than anything whitch is the most modern of the ig regiments so it matches, i don't think they had the other regiments in mind when they designed the model

Elysians look perfect with the Valkyries. Both look really modern and sci-fi like.

I need to invest in these suckers. Three Valks to haul my Grenadiers and some Vultures for CAS strikes...

Really? I think the Valkyries (while cool) look exeedingly outdated, even more so then the IG tanks. It's all squareish and armoured and big fans...but it IS sweet.

Vultures are fun birds to field. and with armour 11, it makes them even more durable than a Thunderbolt fighter.

waste of points cost to much, deliver to little every time, i've faced flyers i've not even bothered with them just wheel up your hydra and its "daka daka goodnight" and thanks for the victory points. and as for the rules there nuts , so i think its a big waste of points time and effort i very much doubt apocolypse would help clarify the flyer rules as it would need to be a very thick book what with all the other new rules people are wishing to be put in, from what i can gather its just about speeding up large scale battles .and as its including super heavies there probably wont be time or space for what most players see as a amusing complicated diverstion.

Once you get the hang of them, flyer rules are quite easy to grasp.

aye they're definately sexy birds. Wow, I'm not alone in my awkward thoughts...lol... They arent heretical! They can smoke anything, and whats better than watching 40,000 valkaries loaded with troops flying into combat shooting missiles in all directions? A tree that grows grenades...but thats besides the point I am building! Valkaries are awesome sauce and I wanna get 4 of them...better than pancakes...

I asked in my local GW a couple of days ago and apparantly no plastic Valkaries will be released any time soon, not sure if this is true though.
