Are they going to make plastic storm troopers. Cuz you cant get them in any store that sells GW items. I hope they do cheaper and with plastic you can paint each peace one at a time then glue them on.

A tiny bit of advice, don't put multiple question marks or exclaimation points at the end of yoru topic title, makes you look like a total noob.
At the moment, I don't think there's any word on it.

If they do make plastic Stormies I think they're almost guaranteed to look like the old metal ones (meaning, not Kasrkin). Just look at all the artwork. Another rumour is that they're going to have shotguns as well as hellguns in the box, to go with the possible release of the Codex: Imperial Inquisition, and so be able to be modelled as Adeptus Arbites. They'd really need some new helmets for that though, otherwise they're not going to look anything like Arbites at all. Personally I don't think they'll do plastic (Imperial Guard) Stormies for a long time, if they do them at all. Possibly in a year or so when they're bored and the lead prices are high (like how the Empire got new snazz recently). It's just so unlike GW to make a plastic kit of something nearly everyone in the hobby wants.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but I heard from a blueshirt at my local store that there are no plastic Stormtrooper kits in the foreseeable future.
- Edit
And I think that's totally lame.

Our elites are likely to remain in metal form for a while, as they just don't sell enough of them.
At most, you can have 30 stormtroopers, 30 ratlings, 30 ogryns, 30 psykers or 1 Sly Marbo in the list.
How many do most people have?
I have 30 ratlings between my two regiments (10 are rogue trader era).
I have 34 storm troopers between my two regiments (12 Kasrkins, 12 Inquisitorial, 10 converted from scouts and cadians).
I own no ogryns. If I was to own ogryns, I would convert them from WHFB ogre leadbeachers, as you get 4 for $40 instead of 2 for $40.
I own 1 psyker battle squad. Given that 3 psykers are $15 (and the presumed setup of 9 psykers and 1 commissar runs ~ $58.25), I'm looking into the $25 Empire flagellants box.
If I ever decide to use Marbo, I'll just convert him out of my bits box.

And, to build on Grimm's point, most people won't even use more then 5 Stormies or Ogryns in a list, and Ratlings are just pure suck on the table top. Most people don't by a lot because they're expensive (in terms of points and $) and very specialized.

Why take anything out of the Guard's elites, when you can spend those points on the fast attack and heavy support?

Codex: Imperial Inquisition Thankfully, Jervis Johnson has stated GW isn't full of morons and is going to separate C:WH and C:DH, focusing on the Sisters and Grey Knights because the Inquisition was really only included to advertise for Inquisitor. What a piece of rotting feces a combined codex would be.

but what if it was just like three books in one?
with the option to mix and match should you see fit...
it would only be cool if it really was three books in one...

Ymmot: So you expect GW to release a book that's three times the size of the Space Marines or Imperial Guard codices?

Sounds right for GW's logic. They would be able to sell it for 3x more; thus putting more money in their pockets.

Sounds right for GW's logic. They would be able to sell it for 3x more; thus putting more money in their pockets. Why bother? THey could do the same thing releasing three separate codices, except they'd not be expected to release as many new models at any given release so it's less work for them.

Yes, but we're talking about GW. They don't feel obligated to do these things in a timely fashion anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they did do a three in one 'dex with WH, DH, and XH. Then charge more, and not deliver on new minis for most of it. And halfway, they decide that they need to hike the prices again. Just because...
Remember: GW logic and marketing decisions are ruled by a oligarchy of autistic meerkats.

They coudl do that, but the only confirmed rumours that I've seen are exactly what has been said.
Several posters on the BnC sent emails to Jervis Johnson about it, and he consistently confirmed what I said-- that there will be two new codices, and that they will focus on Sisters and Grey Knights. Also confirmed that the only reason they put in the Inquisition was to advertise for their Inquisitor minigame, but since that was a flop they have little reason to support the Inquisition-- even less than Sisters or Grey Knights, almost noone uses these models, even though they're in two codices and can be used in four separate armies.

You probably will (no reason to remove them entirelly anyway), just that you won't see the Inquisition force getting expanded except for some wargear corrections so that they work in 5th.

Ooo! Hopefully the silliness of forcing the inquisitor to be a psyker will go away. And better powers for the ones that are psykers...

and they better still be able to take a land raider as a transport...
that is the whole reason I got a land raider to begin with! (then promptly painted it in my SMurf color scheme...yeah...but I bought it for the Inquisitor!)
