I've just completed the mini's part of my force and am now considering what the best armour combination in moving forward. I play a lot of normal and cityfight games, and wonder which options to go for, I currently have 3 cadian sentinels as part of HQ.
My force comprises of Command HQ, 2*Vets, 1*Stormies, 8 Rats, 2 Platoons including 2 full squads each, a chimera and 3 sentinels.
Since I have to buy my tanks two at a time, how do I keep my force balanced fighting SMurfs and Eldar - and which tanks should I buy first...
I eventually want three Hellhounds, three leman russes, a basalisk and a demolisher - but which combination to buy in and which order... hmmmmmm.
Your opinions and thoughts are much appreciated.

Hellhound and a LR. Simply for the awesomeness of the Inferno cannon and its negation of cover saves, especially in city fight. The standard Russ because the battle cannon is a good SMurf killer and can be done up nicely in city fight adornments.

Rulezcheck: but you can only fire one weapon a turn on the demolisher , or is it two...?

Plasma Cannons and Las cannons are counted as main weapons and can all be fired when the vehicle is stationary.

Just use the demol cannon when things get too close otherwise let rip with everything else. And don't forget the Heavy Stubber

That' great advice ... but still leaves me questioning...
So with the demo that's a lascannon, two plasma cannons (I'm assuming multimeltas aren't worth it) and the heavy stubber and then choose to pie plate anything too close.
What about Lemon Rusk - it can move 6", fire 9 HB, 3HS, and a pie plate each turn...
That's quite difficult isn't it. My most frequent enemy is Eldar, and I'm entering a campaign against them soon-ish. Would that lend itself towards the leman rather than the demo?

You can't beat a couple of Hellhound, and a Leman Russ. You can't lose with this combo against hord armies in Cities of Death.

3x Hellhound 2x Demolisher (no sponsons, hvy bolter front, heavy stubber) 1x Griffon
The Hellhounds are awesome for clearing out infantry, Demolishers without sponsons (or detachable magnet sponsons) are more mobile in narrow terrain, and the main gun can kill termies and anything else that strays into range. The Heavy bolter and heavy stubber give you close defense in case the infantry get bogged down. The Griffon, if you can find an old one or get a FW wone, is a grest close support heavy mortar that uses the ordinance template and have a bunker buster round for those irritating pillboxes that crop up in cities.
