Really great shading on your pic, TGS. The figure at the front is covered in shadow, yet still kind of visible.
Epic D&D adventure, Punch & Judy, RT and squig eats goblin eats squig pics, Ymmot.

something I always love about Ymmot's stuff is that manic smile he puts on a lot of his characters. Always a fan of all the expressions as they often make the picture for me

something I always love about Ymmot's stuff is that manic smile he puts on a lot of his characters. Always a fan of all the expressions as they often make the picture for me I agree. The Ultimo Gentleman to me is the polar opposite. I feel cold, inside where my heart used to be, every time I see anything he does. Very moody but cool and dejected at the same time. I'd like to use the term 'Steampunk' but that's probably an insult to his talent. Ymmot is a more witty and caring Jack Kirby to me. His backgrounds are so tortuously understated that I can't help but stare at them. A lot. 'Less is isn't more'... less is everything! Go look at those comics from say the 50's and 60's and you will see the backgrounds, the scenery if you will, was not the main ingredient. Nope, that's why you have an imagination. You don't need every rock in the picture because you know they are there. But having said that, The Uber Gentleman places you where he wants you with his art. Often alone. You guys are fornicateing awesome!

My thanks Ymmot. And, as ever, your work is delectable. I too get the fantastic 50s/60s vibe, the Flash Gordon, the pulp sci fi awesome. Honestly, with your skills, you could easily turn this into a profitable webcomic.
TGS:
Master of Light and Shadow.

This is high praise! Thank you very much everyone.
I have been told I have a manic smile, I can not be prompted to smile and have it appear natural and all it does is make me look unhinged, or worse. I don't know what that has to do with my drawings...but I read somewhere that an artists facial expressions can show through in their artwork.
Comparing my work to Jack(The King!)Kirby is just about the most flattering compliment I have received here, the man is a legend. Even if a person was not a fan of his style, they'd have to admit he was one of the hardest working artists in history, and a prolific creative talent the likes of which the world rarely sees. There can be no other.
I like to think of those blue goblinoids as kobolds, just not the reptilian D&D kind. They're sort of furry and make sounds like small angry dogs.

That sounds more like cutebolds than kobolds to me.

But having said that, The Uber Gentleman places you where he wants you with his art. Often alone. The best horror gives you the heaving dread of being alone, ala: why I love Silent Hill (the art director of whom, Masahiro Ito is one of my idols). TGS: Master of Light and Shadow. Knew you appointed me to the Gestapo for a reason. Ymmot (M.I.A): I don't really ask for requests, but today I feel the insatiable urge to request what Ogryn Crazy's bar looks like (this may have been done before).

I feel the need to ask for a picture of an IGMB destruction derby, but in various Guard vehicles.

Until the muses return to me, I want everyone to read American Barbarian to see how I wish I could make a webcomic! www.ambarb.com/?p=11Seriously it is wonderful. Plus a beautiful tribute to the style of Jack Kirby.

I read that ages ago. It's quite goofy, but definitely good.
You could always draw Dark Souls stuff?

Hold up, Gamma world was actually a thing? But it must be a joke she is wearing a Dead Kennedys logo. Wow.

Also, related to my developing webcomic. I don't suppose anyone would be interested in providing some serious critique on the story doc?

Another quick test page. Think the white borders take away from the artwork? With the large areas of darkness in the artwork it looked kind of bare and empty. I also think the artwork might be too obscure here.

I also think the artwork might be too obscure here. The white's a little much. Maybe a dark shade of gray (50-75% saturation, possibly)? As for the critique thing; I may be a while in getting back to you, since an evaluation of something as intricate as this deserves careful analysis. I will get back to you, though.

Still working the details; it's actually a three-part story arc that I want to finish scripting. It's a heist, but the main characters aren't breaking into a vault so much as infiltrating a secure, sensitive and isolated area, pocketing something small and extremely valuable to their employer, and smuggling it out while still maintaining their cover.
