According to a Store Manager I recently spoke with, it would seem Games Workshop intend to re-release an updated form of this classic oldie, a la Cities of Death and Planetstrike. By all accounts, it will be a limited-edition work, but it seems uptake is expected to be massive.
Just thought I'd let you know: Space Hulk is returning (apparantly).

Supposedly, it comes with a 3d Gameboard that has little LED lights and such in it. Might buy it, might not. We'll see. Reds

I've heard and it makes me happy, Space Hulk was my first introduction to the grim universe of Warhammer 40k.

I've also heard that rumor. It'd be interesting to see a comeback.

Never played it myself, but by the way people talk about it, it sounded pretty good. I am intrigued.

My friend and I were thinking of making a modular board for a space hulk style game using 40k rules (maybe kill team). Just seems like fun, sneaking through a old abandoned husk of a ship, encountering alien life in a kill or be killed world.

We were going to when we were into kill team, but it ended up with me in charge of building the thing. That night ended in a lot of little styrofoam pieces lying around and glue covering pretty much everything 4 feet from me.

I was happy as a clam when they final re-released Talisman, and snapped it up, I'm so looking forward to Space Hulk. Those peripheral board games are what also got me in to Warhammer fantasy and 40k back in junior high, and now my wife and I play Talisman. I think these side games are doing their work on her aswell. She has now expressed interest in reading the main rule books, and I know Space Hulk will seal the deal.

Killed a lot of nid, but don't own any. Another helping hand the nid players had was the starter set that had marines and nid in it.

Space Crusade!!! Refresh my memory but wasn't that the one that gave us SM with Assault cannons? I was so upset the first time i went to a GW studio and was told i couldn't use them I think I was 7 or 8 cant remember. it was a sad day. as for the Space hulk I still have two copies of that game laying around and the stealers now form the backbone of my buddies nid army (Its how i got him into the game, gave him lots of free minis) I regret doing that some days .... not because i miss the minis, but because he walks all over me with rendering claws!!!!

Thats right, I still have some of those minis somewhere... they did have a sweet looking dreadnought in that set. FW should make one that looks like that. Ive seen some of them around on the bolter and chainsword. If i remember correctly they also had some necron type things in there just cant remember what they were called. God its been so long.

The "Space Crusade" Dreadnought looked like "ED-209" out of "Robocop".
