im begrudged to pay out ner enough £8 for a can of GW chaos black spray paint to undercoat my models, ive had fine results from using matt black spray paint from auto shops etc, just wanted to know if anyone has had luck with any particular brands opf spray paint, i beleive my paint was an acrylic formula since it did not damage the plastic, but can the propellant in the can cause any damage?

I use Halfords black undercoat and Wilko's grey an white undercoats. The Halfords stuff is best but they don't have it in grey or white.

Word of warning, some "Matt" or "Satin" spray paints turn out to be really thick and glossy.

ill try it on something else first before i strat on my figures, if it does turn out to be thick ill just use it on my car since thats matt black. however ive never came across any paint that was thick and not actually matt/satin, and ive been spraying stuff since i was about 11, ive never owned a bicycle/motorcycle/scooter/car that i have not resprayed so ive used a fair few cans in my life.
