Today, I walked into a bookstore, and saw the Grey Knights Omnibus.
Now all we need is a good trio of Sisters of Battle books!

Faith and Fire was mediocre at best. Had a lot of fluff issues to be honest, contradicting the two Sisters codices more than it should have, and not really in a way that made it a better story either.
Heard a lot of good things about the Grey Knights omnibus though.

Still, we'd need two more to make an omnibus...

I'd like a story where about the Sororitas where the problem is more "how does one best go about one's duty"... IE, the line between pure faith and blind fanatacism.
As opposed to the craptacular stories about corruption within, which quite frankly the Sororitas are nearly immune to, indeed only the Grey Knights can surpass the Sororitas' record for loyalty to the Emperor.

Grey Knights: Not one has turned traitor.
Sisters of Battle: If I remember right, only one has ever turned traitor.
Marines: I'm not even going to try counting the number....

Custodes: They beat Grey Knights. Simply because to the best of my knowledge, not one has even died yet...

Bear in mind those are the uber sweet old school nemesis force weapons, which have an integrated storm bolter right below the blade. I must ask, I know why there's one, but why are there three others? They're entirely superflous, no matter the situation.

Grey Knights: Not one has turned traitor. Sisters of Battle: If I remember right, only one has ever turned traitor. Marines: I'm not even going to try counting the number.... Correct on the Sisters of Battle. Only one has ever fallen, according to the codex-- others have been dominated by psychic power (As anyone can be, aside from the Grey Knights and special characters), but only one has ever actually given in to worship of the dark gods on her own free will. Roughly half of all Marines during the Heresy, and probably about a quarter to a third after the Heresy, based on my own estimates. Marines have roughly the same track record as the Guard when it come to loyalty I think.

That depends more on your interpretation. GW seems to be shifting more to the other route. Personally I think they are not going to reprint that in the new codex for Sisters along with the 30,00,-40,000 quote. But that's just me. Roughly half of all Marines during the Heresy, and probably about a quarter to a third after the Heresy, based on my own estimates. Marines have roughly the same track record as the Guard when it come to loyalty I think. I find that amount unlikely. 3rd edition marine codex lists less than a dozen renagade chapters and the 4th edition chaos marine codex gives us less than fifty renagade warbands. It's mentioned that rarely do marines defect in companies or chapters, if your estimated where correct that the Imperium would have at least 200 or more renagade chapters when the 3rd edition marine codex given us less than a dozen renagades. If you are talking about a quarter or third of marines over ten thousand years then that's going to be several hundred thousand marines ( if not in the millions) over the course of ten thousand years. I find that to be highly unlikely.

Right, because obviously if GW doesn't list the warband, it doesn't exist at all.

Right, because obviously if GW doesn't list the warband, it doesn't exist at all. [/picard facepalm, activating ignore subroutines] By the same standard, many of those warbands are former traitor legionaries from the original legions. GW even mentions it in the codex. Not every warband is a full company or chapter of loyalists in the fluff. And some of those warbands where revealed to be traitor sub-factions of the original legions. If we go by what is actually currently published and not DIY warbands then we have a clearer picture. Regardless, if we go by what you claim marines are going to be defecting 24/7 just to keep up the numbers you claim. EDI: Alright then, I guess I'm right then. Concession accepted.
