Scout Valkyrie? Light Valk? Hmmm....I do believe it's viable.

I know this has been said before but it seemed like it was skipped over. Large capp aircraft would be good. Something to the equiverlent of the C17 Globemaster, or even the C130 Hercules. With the Herc having the option of being either a transport craft, or an air artillary (AC130H Spector Gunship varient).
I like the idea of fast light scout aircraft too.

AC-130 "Specter" equivalent = Wet Dreams.
I've liked it since I first saw it, fell in love with it when I played Modern Combat.
While I like the Idea of having larger capacity carriers, equivalents of C17 of C130 would be unrealistic on the field; they're way too large and unarmed. I'd rather something smaller like 1.5 the size of a Valkyrie and a cargo capacity of 20-30 or war engines(something like the vectored thrust aircraft in the latest Terminator film would look great on the tabletop).

Those flares have drawn what looks like an eagle, there. Just coincidence?

Actually, they look like Angel wings. Most of us when we see them in the skies like this know that the enemies Angel of death has arrived.

Lucky I'm not a fighter pilot. I would be going "Wow! Look at the angel, man!".
Edit : I want to see the new Drop Troop list.

Marine stuff? In a Elysian vs Ork book? HERESY!!!!!
....
Anyhow, I agree with the larger cap transport, maybe one capable of carrying a full platoon in apoc games....Although 20-30 man ones are fine, since I don't think anyone would put that many people in one transport, unless they had nothing but men, and not enough things to fly them in...

I want something like the Dragon gunship from James Cameron's Avatar - Ultra heavy transport/command gunship. Basically a Baneblade that flies.

A Super-heavy gunship that can carry troops and shoot at different targets. In the stead of some troops it can carry a tank/ or chimera It can airlift turrets and such. Think of the possibilites! A transport..for a tank! A transport for a transport that transports troops! It carrys tons of guns, it is a Guard super heavy afterall... Space Marines can have their Thunderhawks...

A light valk is an arvus, and a AC130 is a marauder destroyer. At least, that's the way I see it.

AC-130 "Specter" equivalent = Wet Dreams. You mean this??? They're standard C130s, no guns sticking out the side (is bit of a giveaway). As for new IA 8 stuff, Cluster bombs, or Carpet Bombing strike, think the old Prelim Bombardment, with hurt, say a value of 8.

there's a transport discussed in honour guard large enough to carry a general and his staff, i'm thinking something like that could be used to carry platoons.

I smell necromancy, although the idea of paracuting sentinels is distracing me. Don't they have drop sentinels with grav chutes anyway?

Yeah, the Elysians get them in IA 8. They are an elite choice and can take multi-meltas.
