Ok, I have a question. In the Daemon Hunters codex and in the Witch Hunters codex they have rules on taking the Imperial Guard as allies, but the IG codex has no rules on allies. Can the IG be a parent list with WH or DH allies, or does it have to be DH or WH as the parent and IG as the allied army?

There are rules to take C:WH or C:DH as allies in the C:WH and C:DH codices. You may take the following from the C:WH and/or C:DH codices, and these do not count for your mandatory choices (IE 1 HQ, 2 Troops).:
1 HQ choice 1 Elites choice 2 Troops choices 1 Fast Attack choice

The most common allies you see are Daemonhunter inquisitor (elite choice) with two astropaths. That way any allied squad or vehicle within 12" gets a free shot at enemy infiltrators. Usually they just put that minimal squad near a Leman Russ just to be blatant. Or just add 3 servitors with heavy bolters (quite nasty).

Depends on the army list. I've seen Marine players using large Battle Sisters Squads in order to provide a hard to route unit to hold a home objective, and Guard players love to use Seraphim as deep striking assaulters or counter-assaulters.

Thank you, I've been having some trouble with Eldrad lately, and Ive been thinking of picking up something with a psychic hood.

Ive been thinking of using some DH in my guard army. I was thinking of a Squad of Gray Knights taken as a Fast so I can deep strike them, then take a squad of Gray Knight Terminators as an Elite, also for the DS with them. And an Inquisitor HQ. Would only use against Chaos players with the big boys, Demon Prince etc.

solidgopher - another option is a cheap inquisitor and a Culexus Assassin, but against eldar the psychic hood is probably better. SoB and GK have built in psychic protection, but you can't use GK special save if you use the hood on the same power.

However you DO use the Sisters save if they use a power that includes the Sisters within its area of effect. For example, if a Sisters independant character joins a squad and a psychic power is used on that squad, you get the 5+ save to completely nullify it-- while if there's a blast template that includes even just one Sister in it, it can be completely nullified by the same save.
Also, Sisters are excellent for holding a point, as they are very difficult to dislodge when properly utilized. A large squad with a Book of St. Lucius and a veteran superior is one of the defensively strongest units for the price.

i'm thinking of picking up an inquisitor lord with pw, rosarius, frag and kraks and BP with a familiar and 2 crusaders and a callidus assassin in my 2500 list along with a psyker battle squad and a manticore or/and a vendetta.

I'm actually thinking of adding an Inquistor Lord w/3 Mystics and a Culluxes assassin to my army now that I have the two psyker battle squads. The thought of having a weapon that is 20 shots ap 1 assault is a thing of beauty when it opens up on a deep striking squad of Failinators.
With the rules for transports now I can always place him in a Valk for the few extra points.

A unit that costs roughly 250 points, though, in fairness, so does a Guard platoon, though they have different weaknesses. You wouldn't use Terminators against the Sisters, given they simply say "And now my save is invulnerable", and it is. On the other hand, there is physically no way you can dislodge an entrenched Guard platoon using long-ranged fire, save if you're bringing along a Warhound, Stormsword or a Hellhammer.

Rt you take the fun out of everything.
Yeah I know it is a risky shot, but as I have held a long time no one single unit is able to turn the tide of a game. It is the army working in concert that works or doesn't.
Can I win games without that one model. Sure I can that isn't the problem.
Just the glory of the fire power is what I am looking at.
On paper it looks great. Against a seasoned player that model is toast as soon as I bring him on board.

The power that's really hurting me is Fortune, my opponent puts his Witch in a squad of 20 or so troops and fortunes them all, Ive layed down fire from every angle from ordinance to las gun, and only dropped a small hand full of them, then he can run around with them doing this, using that witch blade of his to pop my tanks in one assault then move on. I was thinking of using a Vindicare to snipe him out of the squad, but i don't want to have to spend the points or the FOC space for them ether every single time I play him. I beat him every now and then, but its still just so frustrating. I have an easyer time with Grey Knights in Land Raiders!

Try a valk loaded with Vets. Drop them off in front of the Farseer that is using Fortune, Hit him hard with the Melta's and shot guns.
Risky using Psyker battle squads against the Eldar due to Eldrad being able to cause them to roll three dice and you getting Perils of the warp on a roll of 12 (combined dice). He goes as soon as I can make him go bye bye (No one should be allowed to play with characters that are listed in fluff as dead).

There are plenty of characters in the fluff who are "dead." They'll be back at the end.
No xenos scum should be allowed to play with a dead SC. That suits me more.

If you're insinuating that this person is me, then I suggest you shove it up your derriere. I know what the rules in game state, but game rules and stats =/= fluff. Sisters, for example, are much more powerful than the average human soldier.
A Retributor is capable of single-handedly holding and firing a heavy bolter from the hip with the same accuracy and roughly the same mobility as a Devastator Marine, for example.

Melissia the only way you could have even remotely taken that to mean you is if you wrote the codex.
Just think if I didn't know any better I'd say something to get you riled up right about now, but I respect you too much for that. You're probably just having a bad day.
