Hi everyone, I've been pondering the point of the tank shocking rule. I'm a little unsure of the exact rules like can the infantry unit being tank shocked disengage and if the tank shocked unit fails its LD and runs can the tank still shoot in the shooting phase Would appreciate anyand all advice. Thanks, Karskin.

I personally think tank shock is for skimmers, especially eldar skimmers that can move 36". one tank shocked unit is pointless, two tankshocked units is acceptable but not the greatest (but still better than 2 storm bolter shots in the case of a rhino). tank shocking every squad in a line that's not in area terrain for 36" is a solid move.

Actually I have had great success with tank shocking.. between the chimeras and demolishers without guns left.. it works nicely.. though I was only doing it againest other guard and orks but still.. it can work.. but use it as a last resort..
Also tank shocking requires you to move in a straight line.. and making them run away can run into other units as well.. makes life interesting..
Cheers Gris

forces a leadership test, if they pass, they can just move or make a Death or Glory. DoG: make one free hit with any weapon. automatically hits. roll to damage as normal, etc. if he kills the tank, the tanks dead (Glory) if not, he's dead (Death)
