I'm not getting SW, I was just playing around with the new codex yesterday.
HQ Wolf Lord - Saga of majesty, powerfists (x2)
Troops 5 Grey Hunters - bolters, bolt pistols, plasma gun Rhino
Troops 10 Bloodclaws -boltpistol, cc wpn, meltagun (x1), powerfist (x1) Drop pod
------- 500
Heavy Support Long Fang Pack Leader - plasma gun 5 Long Fangs - heavy bolters (x3), missile launcher (x1), lascannon (x1)
Heavy support Whirlwind - hunter-killer missile.
--------- 750
Rhino (for Long Fangs)
Troops 10 Greyhunters - bolters, boltpistols, meltaguns (x2), powerfist (x1) Rhino
---------- 1000
Troops 10 Bloodclaws - plasma pistol (x1), powerfist(x1), meltagun (x1) Drop Pod
Fast Attack 5 Swiftclaw Bikers - meltagun (x1)
Fast Attack 5 Swiftclaw Bikers - meltagun (x1)
-------- 1500
I could have taken Njal Stormcaller in Terminator armour instead of the ten bikers, but I reckon the bikers are a better choice.
The only weakness is that Blood Claws have this 'Headstrong' rule that means that unless a Wolf Guard or independant character is with them, they can't shoot within 6" and have to assault. I could drop some Blood Claws to pay for some Wolf Guard in power armour to stop the impetuous behaviour.
Overall loads of transports.

For the blood claws, it all depends on how you're going to use them. If they're just there for harassment then you probably don't need to bother with special characters or wolf guard since they'll cause trouble whether they're shooting or lashing out wildly at shapes and colors.
Seeing as you only have two troops that can hold objectives without going nuts, I would put wolf guard in at least one of the Bloodclaw packs.

I'd agree with Jinx unless, of course course you intend to use the Grey hunters to hold objectives while bloodclaws clear them out.

Hooray! A SW list, minus cheese!
Scrap the HK on the whirlwind, it's not doing anything (if your enemy can see your whirlwind, you're doing it wrong), and the Rhino for the 'Fangs, and use that to buy a wolf guard or two for your Blood Claws.

Thanks for the input, people. I'm not really going to collect it for two reasons - 1) I love Guard , 2) I already know someone who is madly into SW, so that's his territory, and I don't want to get bitten in the nuts.
Yep, you are right. The HK missile on the Whirlwind is very dumb, and the BC need Wolf Guard to make their leadership one point higher, and cancel the 'headstrong' rule. I don't know why I gave the claws drop pods rather than rhinos, but I suppose drop pods get you into cc faster.
