I'm going to say it's probably not true. If you look closely, every single piece is cadian, catachan or space marine, with some GS thrown in for good measure. They're cool conversions, but I don't think they'll be a new unit...

Conversions, I'm afraid, though sweet ones at that.

That was made by an aussie in a series in white dwarf a couple of years ago. I think it was aussie-only but I don't know. The guy who does them is the man.

Lovely models.
If GW makes a new unit it'll probably be very much fancier and shiny than these ones. Not very likely now though, with the codex out and all. Guess all we can do is to wait for the new tanks and hope they make some alternative regiment/culture models.

Yeah, an aussie made them to feature in a 3 part campaign a while ago, they were really excellent. 'Fraid not a new unit, but the way he shows it they are really easy to make

Spiffy conversions though. They're nice and sharply painted and the logos down there make it look real official. Imperial eskimos or an alternate Valhallan?

Australian WD 310-312, although the guy just used the regular 4th Ed. rules and chose appropriate doctrines.
