You know, Hetlan, I've really only been testing these rules against Guard. How would you like to be my opponent in a playtest at some point? I won't make you count it against your win/loss stats.

The DE are really the original anti-MEQ. The battle report for this will be entertaining...

Then you shall have one (when we get around to it, that is...).

I accept! I want my marines to test their mettle against these "Dark eldar" or "Dark Elves in SPAAAAAAAAACE"!

The lack of updates here makes me sad. And I really want to see a battle report about it.

Haven't had a chance yet. Also, real life just kicked in.

I'd do it but......I can't bring myself to figure out an army list....

Hint: short-range stuff that ignores cover saves is gold against armies that rely on anything but armor saves to survive. The short range part is good when they'll be coming at you as ft as possible. That said, DE can be a deadly AT sniping force...

Moar?
Or is life too much a roller-coaster? How long must we wait in pain? At least we can expect you to be done before GW...

It'll be a while before I can get a chance to work on it. The reason why I made this a collaboration thread was that I hoped that in event of my absence other people would be willing and able to continue work on the project while I was gone.
Anyways, apparently other folks have had similar ideas as I have, and have been working on their own fandexes. I found some ideas to be rather interesting.
Unfortunately, I don't have the link and the PDF itself is too large for the attachment system to handle.

Aha. Well, in that case, I'll start thinking about my interpretation of what a 5th ed DE codex should be. I'll add mine in a different color, and discussion can ensue.
