As a Rule of Thumb How many sisters in Ten woman Squads are acceptable as Respectiable? [Middle Ground 2000 Points]
Is the Troop size better is some other form of Squad number like 15 or something?

10 if you go mech, other then that go 15-20 sisters. Min ammount of anything is blasphemy.

if you are only fielding 10 per squad feild at least 4+ troop choices plus a hq, 1+ elites and 2+ heavies.

No way, having lots of small squads is never a bad idea for the Sisters. You can have more flamers, meltaguns, and faith points if you go that route.

I agree in theory but min is blasphemy go the average number at min for a choice.

And why is it blasphemy? Six units of ten Sororitas can have more special weapons and twice as many faith points in comparison to three units of twenty.

And therefore, three units of 20 can be argued to be the minimum of something.

@ melissa but 5 squads of 15 will have more survivability then 6 units of 10. I do not advocate either extreme i feel the average for numbers both in units and personal tends to be the most benifical.

But six units of ten will leave more points to be spent elsewhere. 5 units of 15 would ~825 points without upgrades, while six units of ten is ~660 minus upgrades. 165 points is plenty of points for an exorcist and then special weapons on all the squads.

True but troops will win games. Stronger squads is better then more squads. In the end I can only advocate what works for me.
60 models verse 75 models though the loss of the faith point is regreatable but the extra 5 per squad makes the squad more likely to get the faith point to work. the problem here is both schools of thought are valid and will work very well.

Melissia does know a lot about 'Sisters, and I'm inclined to agree with her. 10-woman squads are the best, simply because:
One retains plenty of anti-infantry massed firepower.
They are still remarkably resilient.
Relatively cheap.
Plenty of faith points.
And, most importantly, they can be hurridly rubbed down with butter and crammed into the back of a rhino.

min is blasphemy. I would never feild 10 unless I am putting them in a rhino. Anyother time 15+. This will allow for causualties and still pull off faith at least the ones that require numbers.
At 15 per At the same points I lose only 2 faith points granted it is a lot but at 15 per x 6 is still under a 1k points I still can feild 6 choices. Which is where I aim for troops at 2k+ games. this will put a cracked out squad at less then 250 points a squad. That is with 2 meltas a vet sister with eviserator, grenades and 15 sisters.
Either way both are valid points for building a Sob force. I will advocate average to maxed out squads in number. I will however advocate a few mech squads thrown in as standard data for speeding across the battle feild. So in the end it is a combination of the 2 that is the better of the 2 option.
@rt All the points you made are valid for a squad of 15 other then the lack of tansportation option.
In the end here is why I do not feild 10 sister squads
s+t 3 makes fore easily wounded models
morale checks at earlier points
more staying power
less firepower overall
squads are 110 v 165 before upgrades Sorry i would rather have 5 extra modles for a small pitance in cost in points

And there will be times you want that squad number to be small for AoF. The only way to get them to seven is to take casualties. More "run them into the fire, and have them martyr themselves" mentality...

*eyeroll* You're contradicting yourself, nightwolf. First you say that one view of things is blasphemy, and then you say that both views are valid, then you say once again that one is blasphemy. Make up your damn mind.

I do view taking the min as blasphemy. When you feild them as mech 10 is the max for the transport. The fact that I see both sides as valid does not mean I agree however.
I will clarify both are valid points/tactics I just happen to disagree with the feilding of the minimum of anything. Go average to max in number or dont bother.
In lower point games I do see the pros of feilding 6 squads of 10 over 4 squads of 15. If you are playing average to higher point games it is better to field larger troops.
In the OP he stated 2k points. At that point I will feild 4 or more squads of 15+ a couple at 10 in Rhinos for a total of 70+ troops with hq w ret, elites, fa and hs for around 100 infantry models at 2k .

Squads of 10 crammed into Rhinos ftw, with supporting Seraphim and Celstians. And Exorcists maybe a retributor squad, i've seen it tear apart a Daemon Army because they simple had to take too many armour saves, and the acts of faith were particularly clear.

True i forget half the board in not from the states. Shipping through out he states is not too bad I usually come well under the cost of a new squad money wise.
