Overall you get an A+. I am willing to overlook the mold line on the tank commander's right arm because of such a superb job on the tank itself.
Excellent work. Would love to see it on the table.

Nice, you should write some fluff, it looks like that thing just cracked a very hard citadel.

What is the tank named?

That head on shot makes it look really intimidating. I think it takes a lot of confidence to weather your models to such a degree, I wouldn't dare do it, I'd screw it up. You've done more than just pull it off, it looks really realistic.
Is the barbed wire an anti infantry measure placed by the crew? Or just a souvenier of an enemy defence that it's just rolled through?

I think that you should have some bits of enemy corpses mixed in with the mud and tangled with the barbed wire for those poor fools who tried to stand against the tank shock...

My whole force is going to be that colour scheme, weathered and battle damage. The Baneblade isnt showing battle damaged for one resion, its nails.
The rest of my armour does/will show plenty of battle damage. Iv got dozer blades riddled with holes, and scraped/dented and generally hurt body work. If they are new armour models being relesed next year, then then I think I will have them just caked in mud to show that they are new, but well used.
You want fluff? Well, I dont know what you want me to write, but yes, the barbed wire is from the armour ramming through an enemy defensive position. Ill think of more fluff to write about my army as a whole when its painted and show cased here.
Thanks again for the positive comments.

That's one dirty baneblade, I'd hate to the poor sod who has to clean it when it gets back to base. Can't wait to see the rest of your armour mate.

I wouldn't worry about the torn decal. Adds to the overall effect of the model as it has just gone through the gates of hell and back. You can't expect the paint job to look perfect after such an experience.
There is a product out there that will blend those decals in a bit better with the paint. Not sure what it would be called in your location, but what it does is actually softens the decal and melts it into the paint. Then after a sealant has been applied you can't even tell it was a decal.

are you sure it isn't just a model of mud with a baneblade stuck to it?

hahaha. I like the staff sergeant's comment.
But other than the fact that it made me laugh, I do think this baneblade is spectacular.

Oh, ment to say, the tank is yet to be named. And yes that is a tracer round you see there Sirbebox.
Ssgtdude: Ill try and find that stuff. I dont normally use decals but I felt I had to on this because I dont like too much emptie space. I might paint on a scuff mark where the decal was though...
Oh and the number on the size is the number given because I was a geek and pre-ordered it before it was relesed! lol.
Once again, thank you for the positive comments.

man, that mud and wire looks so excellent, its perfectly done maybe like the other people said, some mangled corpses in the mud would look good if you were up for it, but it already looks so awesome anyways!

All my tanks will have mud on so cant really call it 'mud' anything. It needs to be something mean, because lets face it, what super heavy tank isnt?
Im not sure on the corpses idea - as good as it is. I dont think I could pull it off so it would look good. I may give it a try with one of the Leman Russ tanks.

All the more reason to give it a muddy name. The Leman Russ tanks are all named "Mudskipper" and the baneblade is the "Mudslide."

Brilliantly done. i think the mud and wire add to the background that a baneblade is all but unstopable, i dont think i could do mud weathering to that scale on a tank that cost £60 well done
my only quarm and it is every so small is that the bottom half of the tank is weathered brilliantly, but the top part looks like it has just come out of the factory, although that could be the picture.

Yeah good point on the upper body. Will add some weathered features to it when I get round to it!
