A close friend of mine and I have embarked on a bold new project..... a Modular game board.... consisting of pieces of polystyrene that are 2'x2' with magnets located in the sides to hold the sections together. as of now we have six sections ready to be work on (It may be a while before there worked on between school and practice)
Our thought with this is that other gamers we know can create section (I'm not really affiliated with any stores because of my location) eventually we would have a huge game board that could be set up anywhere we chose to play on.
all you would need is terrain pieces to add to the top.(ex. rock piles, building ruins.....)
and it is a lot easier to store5-6 2'x2'x1" pieces than it is to store an entire game board
thoughts, tips, suggestions?

Build ten 2x2 squares so that you can swap with a lot of variation, and also make an 8x4 board for apoc.
