We were playing for tabel quaters and my enemy was holding 2 while he contested mine he had 2 small squads in each one he held so in turn 5 i deep striked my vet squad and blew him to pices taking his quater meaning that I won as his quater was worth more than a normal one.

I have 2 infantry platoons of 2 squads each...which is 50 guys and i line em up in line formation like the well drilled troops they are...and everythn else on the flanks and i just enmasse the opposition with enemy troops...cos i hav no tanks watsoever...total infantry regiment...pretty fun to watch you opponent get fruststrated at the fact that no matter how much guardsmen he kills...it aint enuff cos i hav just too many! Fun tactic

special weapons such as plasma guns and melta guns are a great way to ease of the pressure esp. when the squads are small which means possible leadership tests. using ure numebrs against them...lol overwhelm them with troops and just keep blasting at them

i'm a imperial guard rokkie and i havent started to colect yet. i'm making up my own planet and regiment. it's called the kolonium 79th airborne. it's made up of blue company, red company, green company and yellow company (i show the company via the colour of their shoulder/elbow pad plate. it's mainly a drop troop army. but yellow company is ground based so they can carry heavy weapon crews and tanks plus normal infantry. blue red and green are made up of troop carrier jets and stormtroopers. like the system?

hmm Iam not to sure on the system of the drop troop army but I think maybe that you may need to consult the doctrins on that one any one else hear who knows there stuff with the DT army's tell us and inform

hordes of tanks? yeah they help! 3 lemun russ' down an enemy's flank is like trying to knockdown a baneblade! u can get 3 lemun russ' fer just over 500pnts....stick em on a flank and watch them rumble up the field armr14 battle cannon booming....the enemy would be desperate to kill them!

vs. mobile armies, deploying in two distinct firebases, one on your far right flank and one on your far left flank with nothing in the middle makes for good times. the enemy will crush one, and get shot up on the way to the second. nothing quite like having to walk into the enemies not once, but twice in a game!

Well since the destruction of my gaurd army my Dark angels/grey knights new army has started racking up wins i did well in the cypher campaigne as most were my age but after a few crushing defeats via well older players i refited my aremy afteer yesterday i have gone from a 2.3 TO 1 ratio of wins (counting the losses in due to older players bringing it down from 5 TO 1) to 3 TO 1 ratio and that was an 18 year old and 23 year old and the 18 year was a massscer and the 23 a solid victory. Anyway the 23 year old had a tau army with 2 hammer heads with railguns. I managed to take out one via dreadnought but my dready couldent get at other as his lascannon went boom leaving a missel launcher that did not do any thing every time i try to fire it down but i deepstriked some grey knights and their 2 incinerators strenght 5 into back armour 10 did the trick blowing out of the sky and in all battels i have had against tau and preadators or dreadnoughts armour back 10 i have taken 27 tanks this wayand with storm bolters strnght 4 and assult 2 i always get at least one glance it has never failed out of my 32 battles (8 lost altogether). so give it try with a vet squd but i always pull it off even if they are faar back via a landspeeder that will move 24 in one turn with a teleport homer.

But thats not counting a campaigne i ran with friends where i played about 100 battles.
