my tatic is too have 2 platoons one has heavy weapons the other is assualt based. this platoon is in a conter attack role or running to my vetrans that just infiltrated 3 flamers into enemy lines *mmm roasted nids mmmm*. there are two fire bases one with infantry and one with tanks (leman and bassie) very deadly agianst marines they go for the tanks well want's left?

With my allied DA and DH I have a very strong fire base and cc base.

yeah, those are solid choices for shooty and assaulty units. as far as tactics go, this is also a strategy: Remnant Squads! I always need a half squad to throw into the mix to stall an enemy for just one more turn - if I don't take remnant squads, then I'm sacrificing special weapon squads (and their demo charges grrr) as melee fodder. this strategy works best with the die-hards doctrine to help with morale issues that may arise from being ordered to charge while vastly outnumbered
