Thanks Karn, although personally I'll find it even more odd having an Imperial Warhound attacking an Imperial Bastion, especially when there are Orks right behind it The orks wouldn't mind if it was an imperial bastion, they'd happily move right in...probably make some grand orkish improvements to the whole structure as well. Of course, that's obviously not what you're going for and the way you've painted up the bastion is swell. However, if you're looking to create a bit more balance with your diorama, perhaps a battle wagon or two... a stompa would be very cool.

I'm confused now... I never said anything about Orks moving into the Bastion. I know Orks would happily occupy it, I was just saying to karn that an IMPERIAL Warhound wouldn't be attacking an IMPERIAL Bastion when there is a horde of Orks charging the Imperial Positions..... Ah, tiredness kicking in. Lets start again... Hi, I'm Cosmic *holds out hand*

I sincerely did not intend to confuse you. What I really meant to convey was that it didn't have to be an imperial bastion, you could have it switch sides just by adding a few details...but at this point with it already painted and everything I don't think it's such a great idea and I am sure everything is going to look fantastic once it is finished.

'Allo everybody.... I have returned....from yesterday.....with more pictures! ;D I've finished the fronts of the Aegis Defence Line....... Nice and dusty, just like they should be on a sandy planet. Now to something else...I have 2 whole boxes of these defence lines that I don't need, so for a small fee I could always paint them up properly for someone Cosmic

Thanks Trooper I will I promise! *Shackles himself in a ball and chain* Hi Ninja..... I just use Artists 'Soft Pastels'. Just scrape the surface with a knife to create a dust, and then brush it over the model in a downwards motion

Looking good mate...... But I'm pretty sure that the Orks would be scared if it was more than Half a warhound ;D

Hi Ninja..... I just use Artists 'Soft Pastels'. Just scrape the surface with a knife to create a dust, and then brush it over the model in a downwards motion ah thats a great idea... im gonna assume you need to spray a matt clearcoat on top of that to seal the dust...

Idealy, yes you do. But I don't actually have any matte sealer, and I actually prefer to have it in it's raw dustiness, looks much more realisic. For something like this where the defence line will be part of the whole board it doesn't really matter about using a sealer.

ive had a great idea for this project... you need a background image mounted to the wall behind
if you come up with a good image i can mount it onto a board , matt lamenate it and send it to you... im a printer by trade and i can get stuff done for nothing...

Your great idea is a great idea that I tried yesterday Ninja I printed off a wide landscape and tried that, but I just didn't look too good. Thank you for the offer though Ninja, maybe we can come up with something? I was thinking of painting a landscape on the wall, but I'm not sure how good it would come out.

It needs to be a background consisting of apocalyptic nuclear explosions and such going off...

I've just thought of a proble though :/ as much as I wanted this to be Orestes during the Chaos incursion.....I only really have Orks to put on the shelf......... Somehow I missed the part about it being orks attacking the bastion. But the creepy part is, I was thinking something along the lines of the titan 'educating' the bastion's garrison of traitor guard. They must learn the price of betraying the love and trust of the God-Emperor.
