I decided to start this project log as a way of getting feedback and ideas on my project for this year, a full platoon of veterans. I'm slowly building up a full infantry company of Imperial Guard, I've already finished the command section and 2nd platoon of 541 Infantry Company, here's the pics of them mustered .... There's more pics of them on my blog Corbania Prime, if you're interested. Right, back to the project, 1st platoon is going to be my veteran platoon. I'm not sure on the size yet but I figure a bare minimum of a command squad and five squads, I'm not sure on whether to do the heavy weapons squads or not at the moment. So, I've been working out what I actually want in the way of unit types. So far, this is what I've come up with ...... - Snipers - a unit of 10 counts as ratlings. I've never liked space halflings, so I'm going to use the standard cadian and catachen snipers for the unit, I've already got six sorted.
- Harkers boys - a unit of infiltrating camo'd vets tooled up to do some damage led by my Harker model. I'm planning quite a bit of GS work on this squad.
- Shock troops - a unit of vets in carapace armour, I've got ten of the inquisition storm troopers who'll fit this role perfectly and not clash with the storm troopers I have already.
- Standard vets - two units of standard veterans customised with cadian and FW bits to make them stand out against my normal troopers.
That'll give me 5 squads of veterans and an interesting mix to 1st platoon as well as a wide range of hobby opportunities which will give me plenty to get my teeth stuck into. Pics of Harker coming soon guys.

Do like, Corbane. Your usual blend of flair and functionality. Personally, though, I find the old metal special weapons are kind of inelegant. Love the AC on the chimera - looks appropriately menacing when you pivot it at an angle from the camera.
My only negative critique here is that the models could do with a few extra conversions here and there, maybe, and that maybe you should add some extra colour to the unit. It's just a little uniform-looking for my tastes.

Thanks mate, and yeah, the regular troopers are a bit bland, I'm hoping that this project will give me plenty of opportunities for conversions. I'm already hacking away and green stuffing Harker.

Liking what I can see of your models, but... the link doesn't seem to be working - any chance you could check/repair the URL?

Gabriel Lupus - Fixed the url now mate. Glad you liked him gents, did a bit more work on Harker last night, I've started working on the folds of the cloak and given him a beret. I'll be posting pics of his cloak once I have it finished.

A few people have said that, I seem to be doing the ghosts without realising it, although I'm hoping he's going to hit more often mate.

Love that book!
This model reminds me of the movie A Bridge to Fare ( the one with Sean Connery)

I love them too, just never though about basing an army on them. Probably because I'm into the mech side and the ghosts are an infantry force. Did a bit more, I've got the folds sorted ... I've also added a hood and and started to clean up the long folds of the cloak, I'll be posting pics as soon as I'm happy with them ... which might be a while - lol.

What were you thinking for the base on Harker. Bodies of the fallen or maybe victims?

fianoglach - Cheers mate loempiaketzer - He's supposed to go on a normal base but I prefer all my special guys to go on 60mm bases mate. @happyorange - Cheers mate, he's not bad considering I'm new to sculpting. Gabriel Lupus Lupus - Thanks mate, glad you like him cobaltsentinel - Cheers mate, finally finished him - yay! Rook - To be honest mate, I've spent that much time on the gs'ing, I haven't even thought about the base yet. That'll be the next job. Finished off the GS'ing of Harker this week ..... Considering I'm new to sculpting, I'm quite pleased with how he's turned out. If you want to see more of the project, there's loads more info and pics here .... Corbania Prime: HarkerWith Harker done, I've been thinking about his squad, these are the models I've picked out .... Now all I need to do is give them all GS cloaks and berets. I'm thinking that this might take some time.

It sure looks as if they'll be an elite squad of commando's or something of the sort. I cant wait to see them all together and painted and GS'ed later on Colonel.

Looking very nice so far... If you manage to get the cloaks to the same standard as the one on your Harker model, this squad is going to look truly incredible... I'm almost drooling at the potential...

Harker is a beast!! And so is his squad!!
Nice job man, really like them. As I'm looking at the minis, I noticed that Harker would be the height of the taller basketball players and the weight of an American Gorilla (Americanus Sapien (linebacker).
