GW customers seem capable of more Heresy. I have my eye on you Elephant *wags finger accusingly at the non-plussed beast*

Oh and FYI Forgeworld is now cheaper than GW. Pathetic. As if I needed more reason, possessing 200+ Guardsmen already. Cheap conversions, trading and random crap for me!

What he said in summary was: GW is in a finicial crisis, due to the price rises they have had many people stop buying from them, so to counter that, they raise their prices even more, so thus they are stuck in a spiral which will eventually leave them in major trouble. One bad decision at the wrong time, and it put them in a box from which they can't escape. You know, when you're throwing a pot and you mess up too badly to recover, you toss the clay in a slurry bucket, where it will be recycled. It's getting close to that time for GW.

Are you just saying that GW is at risk of liquidation? Not if they maintain their current operating profits. Looking at the financial statement, however, I reckon they could cut their costs quite a bit if they started dropping certain loss-making items.

The money they make from Relic and THQ for the DoW games: probably a good return on that. The money they'll make off the Utramarines movie: the loss might be covered by the DoW royalties...

Things might change this year if the govenment increase VAT. Personally my disposable income is diminishing every day, so there is NO WAY I'll be able to buy the amount of GW plastic that I did last year. In fact I used to be at my local store every week, this year I've only been a handful of times.

"Costs remain under control?"
When someone tells you two contradictory pieces of information, or says one thing while they're actions support something else, they're either lying to your face or lying by omission - not telling you the whole truth.

I dont think GW would bet much money from 40k video games. I asked soem GW staffers why they dont sell the video game in the store and I was told that it's a different comapny that makes them. So GW might get money from selling the video gaming rights to Relic and THQ but that's it. Any money made from sales of the video games goes to the video game companies. The only thing they can hope to make money from the video games is getting new people intrested in the table top games because they were intrduced to 40k from the video games. ANd then have the new players start buying GW stuff.
