Don't get me wrong, I like it, I just tend to associate that kind of color scheme with some of the Noise Marine armies I've seen. I for one would like to see more of them. Reds It's all good, homie.  |

I think there's definitely call for you to put together a Nurgle thread Yeti - there's very different look to your Death Guard/Nurgle Marines compared to any other I've seen. Very intriguing...

Update on Valkyries:
So I ordered a plastic Valkyrie to go along with my original Forge World Valkyrie and Vulture kits from 10 years ago.
I’m doing this so I can have 2 flying transports (and dedicated gunship air support) but in more practical terms I can finally get my hands on the GW flying base and use that to create my own template for my own flying bases. I have already made one for the Lightning fighter a long time ago (but is much larger than the GW base.) That flying base was sturdier and looked better in general despite its size.
So once that plastic kit comes in along with some more acrylic rod, I’ll get to work on getting all three kits on the same base.
Stand by.

So... annoying fact about my life: The club didn't order my Valkyrie and now I'm glad I've been painting BFG ships in the meantime. I would hate to have been waiting and being idle in the meantime.

You sir have a definite gift. As simple as the paint scheme is, it looks like each figure has well over an hour into them a piece when it comes to shading. I am sorry to read you went through some medical conditions, but pray all is well now! Everything looks fantastic sir! Applaud!

I'm finiahing up some Eldar ships and a Nurgle Flagship for BFG then I'll be back into some more Valhallans. Dare I say it is fun painting about 150 troopers? |

Those Valhallarn are beautiful creatures !!
I once had a 1,500 pt force of steel legion, if I hadn't of sold them when I stopped collecting I could've combined them with the new DKOK models and had an epic force. RIP
In any case the whole snow theme, artic board and converted officers are just epic. I can't wait to see future squads.
Will there be any stormtrooper squads? perhaps some yhetteeish ogryns...?? How about a kind of brotherhood of the wolf penal squad...

Werewolf penals or maybe wolf worshipping loonies... Damn I might just start Valhallarns myself all these ideas I'm getting

Thanks for the ideas guys. Soviet Werewolves... it just feels good saying it. And actual Yeti's in the army? That's genius too. I never really considered abhumans in this army but the idea is growing on me. I have some models in mind to maybe do these conversions, if I ever get to them. Small update: Over the weekend I was slated to play 40K with John and Dave, two guys I know that had just jumped back into the game after a 2 year and 10 year hiatus. Both have large, earlier edition armies. They both picked up their “new” Nid and Eldar dex's and we were gonna get our thing on as a learning game (which I need very badly.) But my kids had chicken pox and that nixed my participation. Zehr lame. Thanks Nurgle.  So lacking the Saturday game, I retreated back to my table and basically tore apart the Medusa gun I built before and finished it all over again. I really wanted a big ol' Basilisk gunshield on it, but the previous version wouldn't allow the gunshield to fit. I also finished the Punisher turret I started a bit ago, using leftovers from the gunshield I cut apart for the Medusa. I tried to finish my 3 melta hardened vets over the weekend but my jeweler's saw blade broke. It’s like that sometimes. |
