The continued use of your unusual heavy stubber pintle mount is really shining through as a defining factor that links the tanks nicely.
Looking forward to seeing these new delaque stubbers - will they be used as heavy bolters?

I love the vehicle stowage! Where did you get the track guards for the Russ? They're particularly awesome looking. The stubber with the old heavy bolter/autocannon shield also looks great!

I agree with some of the posts placed before. I was highly sceptic of your miniatures pre-green bath. But once they were bathed in the green, they just finished up. I have to be honest, your overhaul blog (as well as the Ridgeway's Remnants blog) that made me go back to posting here. Good job.

The continued use of your unusual heavy stubber pintle mount is really shining through as a defining factor that links the tanks nicely. Looking forward to seeing these new delaque stubbers - will they be used as heavy bolters? Thanks man. They’ll be converted to hold meltas as they are the only Delaque models that are easily convertible with new weapons… though I’m tempted to keep one as-is and use it as Gunny Harker. I love the vehicle stowage! Where did you get the track guards for the Russ? They're particularly awesome looking. Thanks Trooper! Those track guards are a combo of old metal extra armor from GW, balsa and 2 stage resin epoxy. I agree with some of the posts placed before. I was highly sceptic of your miniatures pre-green bath. But once they were bathed in the green, they just finished up. I have to be honest, your overhaul blog (as well as the Ridgeway's Remnants blog) that made me go back to posting here. Good job. Welcome back, keep posting! So a brief update: 5Th squad is underway and should be finished by Christmas. Last night I laid in the coat colors, flesh, dotted the eyes and hit the books/gloves/scarves/headwraps with Codex Grey. Tonight will be the brown on pouches/web gear, blue weapon fairings and silver badges/barrels. Tomorrow will be details on individual models where they need it (medals, etc.) I also scratch-built a Medusa cannon since my Basilisk is too long-ranged for the games I’ll be playing and I sure can't afford the Forge World model. It's probably 90% done. You can read more about how I built it on my blog, sarcophagi.blogspot.com/

Nice use of parts on the Medusa! It looks great, especially because it is not just a shortened barrel of a Basilisk. Is the base plate a piece of textured plastic card or is it made out of resin?
Great work -Magg
PS.: Delaque? I knew that they have a familiar ring to me.

Is the base plate a piece of textured plastic card or is it made out of resin? That is a piece of textured plasti-card on top of cereal box cardboard. Slides right into the back of the chassis. Not as rigid as plastic but completely adequate!

Christmas Oath: COMPLETE In October I set out to paint 50 guardsmen by Christmas and so, with this squad, I have. Actually the tally is at 51 I think, counting the mag-mounted rider on the Chimera. Over the holiday I'm going to try and knock out the Company Command Squad and maybe the Medusa. I guess I should get some army list building time in first. More pics on my blog Sarcophagi sarcophagi.blogspot.com/Merry Christmas to all my IGMB brothers and sisters!

Nice squad and congratulation to your fulfilled oath I like the look of your Melter guys. The weapon looks a lot heavier the way you converted it, a look that is very characteristic for imperial equipment Well done! -Magg

Nice squad and congratulation to your fulfilled oath -Magg Thanks Magg! The Melta vets are taking longer than I'd like but they will be finished soon. Nice going, I've added your blog to my favorites and as inspiration. Thanks Dedrier! Awesome looking stuff as always, Yeti. Thanks Trooper! So I have the Company Command Squad in full Swing and they should be done by Friday night (fingers crossed.) One last minute army list addition was dumping the demolitions doctrine for the vets and adding in an Officer of the Fleet advisor for the same points. I assembled, primed and painted him over the course of today, in between domestic Fatherly duties. See the WIP pics and blabberings on my blog: sarcophagi.blogspot.com/

He looks interesting. I don't care for the blue shoulders, there are enough cool colors already. It might be because I am color blind, but they look purple.

Ahh … the old tank commander is very versatile. I used him for an officer conversion before the new plastic command box was released. The new parts out of the box forced me to retire him … Nice work! Looking forward to a full picture of the officer of the fleet - a very tantalising first glimpse *cough cough* click and scroll down -Magg

Alright, the Company Command Squad is done. The only thing not pictured is the already-completed rocket team that will round out this squad to 4 vets, officer and advisor. See my blog Sarcophagi for way more pics and musings about banners: sarcophagi.blogspot.comEDIT: And just like clockwork, I post up final pics and notice some flash on his right hand. I’ll trim that up tonight.Up next, another squad and Melta vets. Have a happy, prosperous and healthy New Year everybody!

Happy New Year! That's a very nice looking CCS, Yeti! I love the converted Chenkov model... Thanks Trooper! Just a fast note to say that I started 3 classes a week ago so I've been trying to get my tempo with classwork (and work and fatherhood) before I get more updates done, with one this week at some point. Also, I have what I think is an interesting take on the Master of Ordnance in process... I hope to have that posted sometime this month. Hope everybody is well. Best, Yeti
