hes a radical idea how about deep stiking the storm troopers away from the enemy or in a position so they won't get shot up and then making life hell (power fist meets wartrukk )

to my reconing the whole reason to have the ST deep strike is to put them close to the enemy lines,it would be kind of a waste to deep strike them away from the enemy. If you want stomies away from the enemy then don't deep strike or infiltrate them.
deep striking them away from the enemy is kind of wasting them, just my opinion twerd.I'm not trying to discount what you said at all.

Commissar, a question. Do you paint your Commissars and stormies NKVD-style black, or the same colour scheme as the rest of your army? Cool idea. (Stalin applauds.Everyone else begins applauding. Last person to applaud gets dragged outside and shot in the head)

Ah, its a little mixed version of NKVD uniforms. Some have brown leather jackets, others have black, some have standard red army great coats with their soviet ranks and badges.

Cool. Maybe they should stand at the back of the army and shoot at any retreating units.

LoL, thats how I set them up! A few HQ squads of NKVD with a Maxim 1910 machine gun heavy bolter shooting down retreating fools.

You have watched far to much enemy at the gates... it would be far better to have a Degernyatev LMG with a sauce shaped magazine. Russian weaponery is infinitely amusing....

What do you mean ' in the right hands'? Russian weaponry is designed to be dangerous in the hands of anyone from Spetzanaz to grandmothers and small children. That is its beauty. Wepons that cost a fortune to produce are entirely pointless as you can kill somone as easily with a £60 AK-47 as with a £1000 M4A2.
Desecration is the smile on my face.

Of course it is meant to be dangerous in anyones hands. That is the beauty in their weapons. Perfect weapons.
Well, the model is underway. Hopefully hes gonna look good in the end.

I was implying they were ineffective and crap.

O.O The ak has maximum stopping power!!! The ppsh was fun, it showered people in pistol shots. What was so ineffective about them?

The AK47 was less effective than the American equivelent and the Germans had a better machine pistol.

The American equivalent? A god damned M16? They jammed all the time, well the originals did. The AK47s are alot cheaper to produce, more available. The germans had the mauser pistol, that thing sucks. The PPSH sub machine gun used pistol ammo.

I wasn't refering to the Mauser pistol. Machine pistol was a word used for sub machine guns back then. I was refering to the MP44, it used 9mm ammunition.
The M16 was way better than the AK-47, it was more accurate for one thing. The recoil wasn't as bad on a M16 as the AK-47 either.
The mauser did not "suck".
Thia has gone way, way off topic. If we want to discuss such matters we should use the underhive.

They ran a test between M16 and Ak47 on discovery in a show about the Vietnam war. The early versions of M16 were pure crap, jammed and broke all the time. Allthough the later ones improved considerably they were still treated with mistrust by the american soldiers. However the M16 has less recoil and is more accurate.
The Ak47 however hardly needs any maintence at all, doesnät jam even if you threw it in sand and dirt, had MUCH more powerful shot (they could shoot thru smal trees etc) but were quite inacurate in burst mode spraying bullets all around.
