The new tanks are looking brilliant. Great weathering, especially on the plasma blastgun. The plastic Vostroyan conversions are great and I think the ones with standard cadian arms look better than the ones with storm trooper arms, so if you want to make meltaguns maybe try to get the cadian command squad special weapon arms. They'll be easier to fit and will look more natural but otherwise these are very cool conversions. Are you making more of these? Yea I agree with you, the melta Guy wasn't my finest hour, however Vostroyans don't have Melta's, so I was doing everything I can to try and make it work. Ah... I didn't see anything wrong with the arms from Strom troopers, I thought it added more to them, especially to the officer. But that's just me. I've bought more of the heads but they're for my Argyll Highland & Southerners 10 man squad. Along with the men on my wyevern, so they fit in and look less Cadian.

Those tanks are looking sweet. Personally I'd say that getting two Preators is pushing it... I mean; ofcourse you get to have a foehammer one and a firestorm one, but what if you really want to get some extra anti-air, then what do you do? Get a hydra instead of a pilum launcher? Thanks Nutty. Praetor Launcher also has the Pilum Warhead, Twin Linked AA Mount. So what your saying is I require a Third one to balance it out I aslo do have a Hydra and Lightening for anti Air. Nutty: I totally read your post wrong, this is what happens before I have a coffee. But Seriously, Birthday Purchase this year... 3rd Praetor with Pilum Launcher. none of this soppy Hydra.

Looking great! That Macharius Omega is the dog's bollocks! The weathering is really well done. I'm getting a Macharius Vanquisher soon, hope I can do it justice.

The Lightning is really looking fabulous.
Are you adding a heavy weapon team to the new Vostroyan squad?

The Lightning is really looking fabulous. Are you adding a heavy weapon team to the new Vostroyan squad? Thank you sir I 'm not a fan of flyers but this really is fun to paint up. Update soon. I also Have a Heavy Bolter team, just preparing the base at the moment. I'll show them as a full Squad once I have some paint on them.

Superb work, especially on the armor. My only suggestion would be making the flame on her hat candle a little bit more orange or yellow.
When do we see Celestine?

Nice work Major Downer! My brother collects Sisters of Battle and is thinking about using silver armour. I'll point him in this direction to see how it's done!!

Thanks Jud I did Bolt Gun Metal, layer of the Black wash from GW and then highlighted with the Mitheric Silver. Oh I have the Forge world Rhino doors to do and I have Sisters im currently stripping. I thought a Squad of ten ladies would fit in, with all 120 Plus Horny Vostroyans

*Sadface at the "frosted canopy" on the Voss Lightning* Makes me recall ruining an F-16 model as a pre-teen by applying varnish to a clear canopy bit. Any plans to try and fix the canopy? IIRC applying gloss varnish to the clear areas may do it, otherwise pop that canopy frame, remove the damaged clear areas, and get busy with clear plasticard@ Everything else in the thread is smashing.

Yea sadly I didn't see it coming until it was too late and I cried myself to sleep. No, can't do that as the Canopy is all in one plastic Only Forge World could do this!

Hmmm, sounds like a prime chance to learn how to make a mold of a part, and then cast a replacement canopy in clear resin to me... I bet that 3ff3ct could probably give some pointers.

Have you asked forgeworld for another piece, i've heard they're good with customers in your situation?
also - I would recommend getting some clear plastic - possibly even the blister packs as they're a nice workable thickness - and then cut the windows to fit, given your excellent fine motor skills I can't see it being too difficult to accomplish. I'd be prepared to get pieces the wrong size a few times but practice makes perfect, you only need to use glue once you have the correct size.

Yup, this is how the FW canopies used to be done, it was an empty resin frame which you'd then cut thin clear plastic to fit inside of (using glue designed for clear plastic, not CA cement or plastic cement!). Maybe it might be possible to get some plasti-card that is the correct thickness, cut up some strips of it, and build a frame, use plasti-rod to rivet it, and then panel it with clear plastic to make a bespoke replacement canopy?

The good news is, I managed to scrape it off gently. Turned out it was a thin Layer as I thought. I'll update Pic's at the weekend. Lucky escape and lesson learn't.
