I got my dates mixed up... available for pre-order at £45 in store or online, with release on 30th (I think)... the box set will follow once everyone has bought the big book.

I stopped buying WDs in 2006 . Since then it all just went down th drain. I mean even the internet site, all it is is a bunch of BUY THIS and BUY THAT MEGA KIT
It's pathetic, I started this hobby in the golden days when Armageddon had just finished and the Eye of Terror campaign was on the way. And back then we had REAL WDs with Chapter Approved and the internet site was full of awesome articles and ancient files...
Anyway, I suppose the new releases are decent so I ain't complaining

I think there will be one new addition to the rules from 5th, it may be they add flier rules and AA rules to the book rather then it being in apoc or a WD.

Anyway, I suppose the new releases are decent so I ain't complaining And they did do awesome campaigns too! The kits are way better these days though, GW has definately got their 'we make the best models in the world' on lockdown! Don't you think it's funny that future veteran gamers will be saying 'I remember back in 5th Ed when I started, when everyone had transports and meltas ruled! Those were the days!' ;D

Because people haven't been making Guard/Beastmen conversions for years...

Because people haven't been making Guard/Beastmen conversions for years... and it's only 6th edition that teaches you and allows you to use them as well.

I suspect I'm missing the irony in your post, but this statement is clearly wrong on multiple levels. Beastmen conversions do not require teaching, and the Guard codex clearly allows them to be used as Penal Troopers.

Rolling Thunder: it's with your comment that people have made them for years and 6th edition isn't going to be special for them. can use them before with any edition you wanted as a conversion.
Unsure about these powers cards. Hope they are more customised then just a name. like imperial psykers best be weaker then say chaos psykers.

As far as I can tell, the power cards are just new powers you can use. For example, a Primaris Pysker can either use his two codex powers, or two randomly selected powers for the 'lores' of fire, bio or telepathy. I guess that more powerful Pyskers are still more powerful, just everyone has more pyscic toys to play with.

Just wondering, in theory, wouldn't necrons be unaffected by psychic attacks due to them being robots, like mind war ( I might be wrong about this) which the Eldar use, would it just overload the computer processor and blue screen or would he use mcafee and prevent the attack?

Necrons are machines that hate the living.
They'd gray-screen.

so.. from looking at a paused screen on the GW site we learn:
New vehicle types: Chariot, Hover, Flyer now exist Models may be placed below flyers (ie, infantry on the oval base) - but not enemy models. Flyers may 'Zoom'... Some flyers may also Hover. Hull Points exist Guns have can have Interceptor and Skyfire rules Pskers have mastery levels from 1 to 4

Are you sure? I would think they would have enough virus protection software to prevent that.
