We can do it guys!
I've figured out the secret to getting fit; you just have to get up and do it!
@req: 'Unbridled'? Yep, you are right. Never worn a bridle in my life, yes sir. *Hides his sex toys*

My confidence is on a whole new level after my training regimen. Even though I barely seem more fit when looking in the mirror I 'feel' more fit.
Actual internal dialog last night: "Jesus Christ I don't want to exercise". --"Do it pussy!" "I'd really like to take tonight off" --"If you don't stay driven you WILL stay fat."
Yeah I talk to myself. Doesn't everyone?

It seems there were only 29 on my property as I didn't see any last night.

You da man, Rook!!!!!!! *ahem* You are making me feel guilty, I haven't even been able to do sit-ups properly because of my ankle Thank you! At 40 years of age I can tell you this: DON'T work through the pain. You have your body for the rest of your life no reason to damage it further. I will suggest that you use pain as a gauge when you do resume work outs. Stop if it becomes painful. Also, crunches don't require feet at all. At least not the way I do them. If I were you I would try to get psyched up and still do some type of workout. Pretend you are handicapped and then ask yourself "how can I still train?". I guarantee you can come up with something. C'mon Walrus you're not alone! Don't let Fate define your level of discipline.

Ahem. Six full pressups, 24 minors, and 15 crunches.
Still can't do squats, knee's still buggered.
Edit - was yesterday.

Ach mein gott. Eight full pressups, followed by eighteen 'girl' pressups. That's a fairly immense increase in my basic arm strength. Also, I don't seem to be feeling any amount of strain on my pectoral muscles, just my arms.

Also, I don't seem to be feeling any amount of strain on my pectoral muscles, just my arms. You may have the same problem/gift as me concerning the chest. Mine tires but I can never feel any pain the next day. The best I can get is some very slight tightness the next day. RT, you may wish to try doing your pressups as normal except have your feet elevated on a chair. Then do the reverse with your hands on the chair. Obviously this works different muscles and you will see a FAST result in strength.

Today, three walks, and sadly on 7 pressups and twenty lighter ones. Dammit.

So, Rook, did you get through the alphabet yet? Yes, the first night I tried it. It distracts me out of my form so I will no longer be doing it. At best it is a calve exercise. Those are already getting worked. It did feel very 'kung-fu' though.

Nine press-ups, 15 lighter ones. It seems taking a day off in between each exercise set does help. Also, my arms ache.
In other news, weight not lost.

Yes you should be working body parts every other day. Throw your scale away. It is irrelevant how much you weigh RT. Looking good and being fit doesn't have weight requirements. Using the scale will only undermine your progress and have you focusing on the negative.

Actually, in terms of work done, the heavier I am, the more work I have to do per press-up, thus resulting in greater strength in my arms. The only annoying thing is that my arms seem quite small compared to the rest of my body. I'm also going to take your advice on doing my press-ups in elevated positions, but only when I can manage a full rep of 12 press-ups.

Ideally 2-4 reps per set is recommended. Maybe put something on your back when you are doing pressups. I don't know what you have available.

All my research indicated that 10-12 reps were the ideal for strength building. Edit: I have a TV.

*Update: Added more in the 'Training Regimen' section.
Today, right after I post this I will be doing my 'savages' at the park near my house. I also will be going for a run around said park.
It is 106 degrees(41.1 Celsius) outside right now.
Wish me luck! This may be dangerous.

It's nice to know the weather here has been Arizona-level heat, but with high humidity.

Really didn't feel like performing my training regimen tonight....so I did it anyway!
Also updated the 'Food' section. I feel like the interest in this thread had disintegrated. Oh well, I'm still driven.

It's not that I have lost interest, more that I haven't had internet access the last few days.
While I was away, the closest I did to a deliberate excersize was a 3 minute bridge every time I walked in and out of my dorm. However, I have been doing a very large amount of heavy lifting. And by very large I mean walking around with at least 20 kilos more than usual in my backpack, and lifting things from Guitar amps to drum kits.
