The tank looks really good! Can't wait to see with a commander--are you getting one of the old school metal ones with the WW II Russian-style leather head cap?

Nice pick up. Not a bad way to spend 400 bucks. I love the vanquisher turret. I had that version in my old army. Can't wait to see them repainted and integrated.

You wouldn't happen to have a cold, do you? Anyways, a lot of the new guys are actually very well painted, except for the tanks. Are you going to keep them as is or are you going to kill the paintjob?

*Sighs* My first box were plastic catachans... gos to show how young I am in the hobby! Anywho well done so far. Though as with all colector moddles I hate the fact they don't have power packs in their weapons it's going to be a pain fixing that on my Talarns. Also 400$ Well it seems I am incredably cheep too as I would die spending that much money on that few old guard...

Mr Cooman, Nice to have you back sir!
I'm liking the painting scheme and loving the old school Exterminator. How long did it take you to get all of them done?
571 Finished? you're a machine, what have you lined up next?

Hi Downer! Well the 3 in the back line were already painted (they are somewhere in this thread), but i made some changes like switching sponson weapons, recolouring some bits to match with my new ones and applying decals/weathering etc... The other 6 were painted over an old black and grey camo scheme (they are second hand). I started painting on sunday. Got all base colours done with the airbrush, and painted the metal parts black by hand, ready for drybrushing. They looked like this sunday evening. Then i just picked them up yesterday in the afternoon and did the drybrushing and details, and applied the decals and weathered them in the evening. So pretty fast actually. But that was my goal at the start of this year. I wanted to get as much stuff painted in this year because my backlog was too big! so instead of having a few things painted to a great standard, i wanted to get lots painted to a good wargames standard. My goal is at least 1000 models finished by new year! And i'm actually slacking a bit, seeing i had already painted 100 models in the first Week of the year! Next up are some classic catachans and tallarns I already painted the snipers, try to spot them in the picture above!:

Well fair play to you, that's quite a challenge and task ahead, we'll keep you motivated.
The air brush is a god send for batch spraying tanks, couldn't do it with a brush anymore.
Be sure to post those Tallarns up, alwyas loved the dessert raiders.
