Hey all! Today i'm starting on my oop cadian metals. I have a bunch of them on the way that i bought on ebay, but as i couldn't wait i will already start now with the few old ones i have from back in the days. These are 2 guys you might have seen already. They have been painted up to see if they would work togheter with my new cadians, but are now the start of my entire metal army! These are the guys i'll be starting on now. I'm especially curious for the lascannon, as i wanna see what my sceme does to a bigger model. I'll try to update tomorrow as i finish, If not the day after. All depends on my painting speed

ah i see. Actually all brown and green areas, grenades and pouches and boots + the flesh have received a wash. Flash actually drowns out the subtle wash on the guys. @ 3ff3ct : i hope very fit Especially with the amount i have ordered.

Hey all, another update here. I've finished the guys i showed you yesterday. I'm liking the way they look, shold blend in with my other cadians if needed. Also like the way the lascannon ended. I applied a heavier wash then the first ones, and they look better i suppose. Let me know what you think. I will not be highlighting them howaever, i wanna go for tabletop quality only.

Yeah i felt like i was 14 all over again. That was the day i got my first cadian squad box. I spent ages saving for that one, and when i got it the heavy bolter was missing . At least i had a spare gunner for the sentinel from that box. I didn't know that 12 years ago though lol. I hope they will look badass once they are all painted up in my colour scheme. Gotta love those Perry sculpts.

Painting is gonna kick off tonight. I also traded some old plastic stormtroopers to go with mine and my storm trooper autocannon. so expect pics of a veteran squad with berets too Still havent decided what i will use the storm trooper heavy bolter for though. Maybe a veteran squad with a harker count-as.

Hey all!! Finished my first unit for my metal cadians today. I started painting yesterday evening and had them done in no time I painted my company commander, 2 plasma gunners and repainted my first two models in this post, to get them in line with the heavier washes i'm doing on my other models (and because i gave the sergeant a plasma pistol) the models i painted My company command squad, led by major Joshua Rayne. And a closer pick of the major I think i will paint up my platoon command squad next, a mordian sergeant and 4 cadians with flamer. Edit: after seeing the pic this large, i guess i have to paint one of the plasma's barrel holes larger.(aka the black spot ) And wash the majors rope-thingies a bit more.

Looking good What are you doing the bases with?

Bases are just model railroad flock, painted with desert yellow and washed with devlan mud. I think it gives them a good "barren earth" kind of style. When you read the fluff on cadia, it says it's vast kasr's (fortress-city) are surrounded by tundra's and barren, wind-swept plains that the cadians use to train with live ammo. My army's fluff has them as the outer defenses of one such kasr, thus spending most of it's time in the trenches and outposts around the city. Example of real life terrain i based my bases on ( excuse the bad pun ) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tundra_looking_south_toward_Brooks_Range,_Alaska.jpg

Yeah they really acheive it! They look barren without looking blank or boring, a really nice texture that compliments your models. I'll have to keep my eye out for that stuff, it could come in handy

Hey all, quick update. I just finished converting some old 2nd edition storm troopers i got (thank you Brigadier General Foster ) ,and i made a demolition guy from a spare metal cadian, and a tank commander from another. these guys will become my vet squad with forward sentries. I have a choice of heavy bolter or autocannon 2 And this is my demolition guy and tank crew. I covered up the heavy bolter magazines ( he was a heavy bolter crewman), and sculpted 2 bags that are filled with explosives, with one sticking out with a fuse. Hard to see now but i think it will be okay when painted up. And from above till next time

Hey all, I finished my next unit for my army. A platoon command squad and also a flamer veteran for my first vet squad. I decided to paint all the flamers at the same time, as it's easier to paint 5 same guys. By the end of the paint line you know exactly where all the detail is and it just speeds it up. Lieutenant Nicolas Glazer and his platoon command squad The first half of my vet squad with new flamer
