Fosters army - Thezan 1st - Recruiting Soon.

I'm yet to go through and sort what I have, what is painted and what hasn't even been considered.

So I'm starting the fluff for my army. Below is a brief history of the planet they are from. Thoughts? Criticism? etc.

A brief history of Theza.
Theza was once a thriving planet, most of its surface covered in rolling green fields. The planet was ruled by a Royal Family and its people were content with everyday life. Until the Imperium that is, surveyors from the Administratum found that the soil was rich in Kaolinite, a clay mineral used in the production of high-grade Ceramite.

The Adminstratum quickly took control of the planet, removing the Royal Family from power and installing a Planetary Governor to supervise the coming mining efforts. Several Hive Cities were built to house the workforce without taking up valuable mining space. The Royal Family were allowed to keep their residence in gratitude for their service to the Imperium but the remaining population were rehoused in the Hives.

The arrival of the Imperium brought with it the Munitorium, there to build a Planetary Defence Force to protect the planet from threats. Theza’ own armies were small in number and quickly disbanded in favour of following the Imperial structure. The Royal Guard was the only military force left untouched, assigned to protect the Royal Family.

Dang! Thats organized - and thats quite a few HW teams, in fact too many!

The HW teams only have 6 models - just saying!

The main infantry squads don't have heavy weapons, on the other hand.

Looks like a huge army. How many points is all that?

HW squads do have too many teams in them. Not sure on the points cost though.

So that's 30 extra teams. You can just divide them up again into another 10 heavy weapon squads.

What kind of SW/HW teams are you planning?

Heavy Weapons will be 1 of each type in each platoon. Not decided on the Special Weapon squads yet though.

Thezan Royal Guard.

Bit of Royal Guard background -

The Royal Guard are the elite units of the Thezan Guard, the finest soldiers are selected from the ranks and trained to carry out special operations such as deep strike assaults, reconnaissance and infiltration beyond enemy lines. The Royal Guard are the very best soldiers Theza can call upon, being trained to the peak of human perfection, their combat skills are unmatched.

Their standard equipment is superior to that of a Thezan Guardsmen and generally includes Carapace armour as well as the Hellshot Lasgun, a higher powered lasgun which incorporates a targeter. They are equipped with both frag and krak grenades as well as the option to carry Melta bombs. Royal Guard can also be issued special weapons including Flamers, grenade launchers, Meltaguns, plasma guns and Hellshot volley guns. Royal Guard leaders (Rooks: Platoon & Knight: Squad) can also have access to other advanced weapons such as power weapons, Bolt weapons and plasma pistols.

Started work on this guy today. He'll be the head of the Thezan royal family.

Got an Aquila Strong point and Mantic deadzone in a recent trade so work on the Thezan Royal Palace has begun. Photo's to come later.
