^ These were made with lifeguard torsos. Sorry, the other pics were pretty messed up too, but they're in the GGXI voting thread; feel free to use if you like them.

What exactly are those lifeguard torsos? Are they from the lifeguard planet or something? I have no idea what I'm doing.

They just look like Napoleonic Cuirassiers, with a heavy breastplate/ cuirass on their torso. IMHO this is fine for representing Carapace.

Bought two sets of legs, nice. They go well with Cadian torsos as well.
Just for information, they don't fit on lizardman cold ones (the body is too wide). I'm going to try to bend legs outwards to match...

Cosmic, I've dropped you a PM, I would indeed like to add some painted samples to the website, and I am working on a more convential armoured torso, its actually essentially finished, but on hold until I'm able to fit it in into a mould.
very niec job cheminhaler, I did see the other pictures in the contest thread previously!
The Life Guard torso's are indeed somewhat Napleonic, they are based on the Life Guard Household Cavalries armour, as are the helmets of the same name. The plan is also to offer a Heavy Infantry unit with the introduction of arms and legs in the future.
wulfric, thats good to know, thankyou! It's always difficult with mounts given no two are exatly the same, and people have often asked me if they will fit such and such a mount!

Honestly, it's quite a misnomer. When I think of Life Guard, I think of guys in speedboats, on jetskis and surfboards. =/
That's not to say they suck, but I was expecintg something completely different.

It's funny to take things out of context...

I know. I actually made a jingle to play on Xbox Live whenever someone says something I can take out of context. Anyway, what about female bits FOR THE CONVERSION OF MINIATURE WARGAMING MODELS? (Better, Spy? )

I have an almost finished female armature done, I hope to send that off to the casters in the next week - then we'll see! That still not a project at the top of the list though I have to add, there is more progress on a Bike kit and a vehicle kit though - stay tuned! Phil aka Col.Winterbourne, whose Praetorian army has been featured by GW's website and facebook page has put together another REVIEW of some Curious Constructs products, this time the Life Guard Heads and Heavy Cavalry Kit. So finally I can post something with paint on!

The sets of heads look very tempting. Are you planning bear-skin hat heads or other napoleonic heads? Specifically this type:

I am yes, Shako's and Bearskins are both on the workbench, though I'm now expecting a delay on those being finished as I've got some other priorities for the time being outside of Curious Constructs. However. Something for the wetting of appetites.

Excellent work here, Gravis! While not what I need for my army, I'm still tempted to get some stuff off you. Maybe I'll wait to see what you'll release in the next few months and then decide Either way, all the best and keep your excellent work up! Ludovic

Have you got anything for scale? I only ask because the seat looks a little wide to fit most production models. The production bikes for 40k all have very slim seats and small-bottomed riders.

But GW provide specific riders legs, I would imagine Gravis will make a specific set of legs for his bikes, to make sure business continues.

optimat, at this point no, that will be something I'll be able to show you in the future, but yes I am planning on having a seperate rider kit/bits available. That kit and the components will include legs, torso, possibly a head, and of course arms - there may also be a lance mount/assembly again available seperately.

Seconded, I never wanted Rough Riders until now. It will be like an IG version of Steve McQueen, only cloned a few times
