Don't get me wrong, I do want to buy one, but a lot of people are talking about this tank as if it will win all their games for them.

you seen the new superheavy they've got pics of up on the GW sneak peaks page? I'd post a pic but photobucket is totally crashed right now so I can't repost the pics somewhere stable so they won't turn into broken pic links over time :/
anyway, this new tank makes me wonder if it's gonna be a superheavy hellhound...oh baby! one thing is confirmed and guaranteed though, the baneblade ain't gonna be the only superheavy in the car sales lot!

yay photobucket is working this mornin'! baneblade: hellhammer: definately a different main gun - it doesn't look plasma styled otherwise it'd have plasma coils, and it doesn't look like a standard issue ballistic projectile barrel (or it'd have a barrel similar to the baneblade) - so the only thing left to think of is the flame type weapon - which goes with the venting holes on the side of the barrel - kinda flameresque. this is all speculation at this point but yeah... on closer examination - the two tanks are identical except for their turrets I'm happy they could find a way to give us some diversity while keeping costs in check.

With a Gun like that, I reckon 48" Range, Strenght 8th. using all the other Hellhound Rules. The baneblade has a Strenght of D' I belive, wich means one kit kills, no armour or Invunerable saves whatsoever. They also have a new Barrage Weapon, its the large Template with 2" blast templates around the outside of it.
Lovely lovely. I cannt wait
For us IG Players there are 3 Box sets Imperial Guard Compnay - 200 Troops, 6 Officers, 6 HW and 6 SW Armoured Company - 10 Leman Russes 3 Baneblades not sure where the Hellhammer comes into this, ill ask around and try to let you guys know

GW is supposedly going to be constantly releasing new formations or whatever they're called (like x leman russes making an 'IG tank squadron') which will expand collections of units that give special bonuses to eachother. rumors say they'll do this online. we may yet see something like IG mechanized infantry squadrons or something.
I'm not sure that strength D weapons auto-negate cover saves because I saw a rumor that the hellhammer's gun's special ability is that it negates armor saves. these big guns SHOULD be dropping 10" (!!!) pie plates if rumors are correct (think about the fact that regular pie plates are 5 inchers.

Oh dear god. Well hopefully chimerae will be on their way, that would be so cool! Anywho, doesnt chaos get a bloody baneblade too? That really blows, I can just imagine an entire platoon of guardsmen getting killed a turn...*Shivers*... They should have left it to the guard...after all its what made us special! Big tanks, not big hearts!

um...the chaos superheavy looks insane. some big organic barrel thingy - all daemonically posessed and stuff - a couple big ol' cauldrons of toxic sludge strapped to the side of the thing - dude..it just looks awesome.

The Hellhammer looks like its got a modified Demolisher cannon as the main gun. Maybe its a mega Demol' cannon (extra range etc)

haha maybe, but it would be cool if it was like a big hellhound, anyways this is what I found on the US site: us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/apocalypse/catalog/default.htmif the link doesnt work just go on to the US site and go to the latest black gobbo and go to "apocalypse releases" oh man theese things look cool, theres the big platoon thing, the 10 leman russes and everything else for all the armies look cool! but, who would buy all these though, I mean yeah its cool thinking of a 10 leman russ set, but wouldnt you get bored assembling and painting that many leman russes!

with guard? that's a tough one. chimerae are a good idea - deepstriking or infiltrating is another good idea.

No, I mean literally. How can you reach the middle of the board? how long are your arms?!
Can I ask a randomish question when it's on my mind (TB reminded me) Can you infiltrate into the open? I thought it had to be on a table edge.

Infiltration is into Cover. Another thing, the "Hell-Hammer" from what I haveh eard from is a Plasma turret. Not sure on the rules or Temple. I have asked 3 Games Workshop players about it.
Also. On the Release Day, my local GW is holding a 18 foot Bring it all Battle. You know my 2500 Point Army Is there Hellhound. Sentinels. Leman Russes. Million Troops. Infiltrating Hardend Vets and Kaskrin. Yes. Yes. Yes. The Enemies of the Emperor will fall to the lasguns of the Cadian 41st!! For Cadia!!!

I thought it had to be on a table edge. It's only 4" from either edge, you'd have to be a Hobbit not to be able to reach across that far.
