Lawl, How long are your arms? That actually made me laugh...
But, that baneblade blows me away, the comparison shot on the GW site with a puny little guardsman standing next to it.

on the hellhammer and its main gun - it's special thing is that it ignores cover saves; I saw a ghetto pic of one of the apocolypse pages right out of (what I assume) was the codex - it looked professionally done and printed and all that so I'm assuming it was the real deal pre-release apocolypse book as that was what he was claiming. with a bit of squinting I could make out the "ignores cover saves" bit in its column with the 'heavy 1, etc etc part' I >think< it's ap3 but I can't be quoted on that, the pic wasn't good enough for me to be sure. same with the strength of the weapon. oh, and the baneblade doesn't have the 'ignores cover saves' tag to its main gun, I'm pretty dang sure (it was also in the pic but I didn't pay it as much attention, though I think I remember the 'heavy 1 big blast' part NOT including the 'ignores cover save' tag.

The Hellhammer fires the Large flamer template and isn't ap 3. Its much much better than that. And its strengh is amazing. Think of it this way the Baneblane is for killing things LONG range, and the Hellhammer is for killing things up close and personal, like bunkers. Notice the multi meltas in the side sponsons?

You havnt already? I did that weeks ago. hehe I think 3 banblades with a tank company that ignores crew shaken and stunned results is a good way to roll a flank or 2.

nice it's definately an achievement for GW to put out such a big kit - I really hope the sales go thru the roof and they start making more plastic superheavy kits.

I do! IG Need more massive kick arse kits, super dooper doodle sized tanks that are so big your opponent will simply crap his pants and run home to change them, then come back, see you pull out a few companies of Leman Russ tanks, he'll do it again, and so on. Such is the might of the Imperial Guard.

Thunderhawks are amazinly easy to kill. Titans go down to lascannon squads pretty good in a couple of shooting phases. Personaly I'm worried about the plastic ork stomps that is coming out. I saw the rules for that and I'm scared. Remember the lifta dropa?

Seriously, the bigger in points a game becomes, the more effective the IG become. Seriously. Space marines become ineffective above 3,000pts, all other above 4500-5000, but IG just keep going.
The bigger the game, the better the guard.

Yeah the Apocolypse expansion hits the US on October 18th, I've already got my Baneblade reserved I'm also completely thrilled that they got rid of the old, fat commissar models and got some younger more vibrant looking ones! And the new Ogryns look awesome too >.<
