I'm laughing so hard right now! Not just at how naive you are if you believe that the Nazi's weren't in control of every aspect of the German military, but more at the recommendation of Wikipedia as a factual source of information!!

Wikipedia lies? HERESY!
And yeah, the nazis were more in control of germany than cesaer was of rome.

Unless you were there, which you wasn't Favourite sentence ever. I'm now imagining all your words spoken in the voice of a Jeremy Kyle guest. You guys can rant and rave all you want, I really REALLY don't care. Paradill, you realise you started the entire flame war on this thread? All the first comments were about the models, what I wanted, they read my first post and abided by it, but all you have done is come on here ranting and raving because for some reason plastic models which - have yet to even get swastikas - offend you. Take the sprue out of your ass and either talk about the hobby, painting, modelling or shut up spouting your views of the Nazis and get of my thread. You're derailing it on purpose. Now now, I can't take all the credit, you challenged me by posting this on a public forum and then telling me I'm not allowed to express my opinion. The subject you have chosen is intrinsically not about modelling, otherwise you'd just say "hey here's some cool models I made, what do you guys think?" Instead if using terms like '4th reich' and creating the Nazi high command. Books aren't facts? Every historian and book is jaded? Fine. Ok, we'll accept that as truth (even though it isn't). Do you know what isn't jaded and most definitely is fact? Millions of dead Jews, disabled people, gypsies etc, who were rounded up, tortured and murdered on the orders of the Nazi party. The heer were just following orders, but what were those orders? I've also added many contributions. I said your tanks look good, told you to add moustaches to them and even urged you to get more pictures up. I'm not doing anything on purpose other than expressing my opinion in a public forum. If you don't want people to criticise your choice of Nazi inspired army. Don't post such a sensitive and quite frankly tasteless topic online. But hey, we're all friends here, lets just talk about this rationally. I certainly haven't felt like I've 'flamed' anyone. When you give me an argument I feel is a valid one, I may well see it your way. But so far all I've had is weak justifications as to why its ok, when it isn't.

I think it needs some kinda shielding to look realistic, to protect the gunner. Cant suggest anything at a glance though :/

The idea of that vehicle is great and it doesnt look "bad" it just looks like its missing something... It would look so sweet if the platform was lowered inside the body! But i would guess without looking that would be frakking hard.

Apology not needed, your personal attack on me was what created a response.
Nice quote butchering there too buddy. Makes for a good shorthand if people can't be arsed to read the real response.
I've commented on your models, I enjoy the tanks. I love big metal things.
Point to where I said you weren't allowed? I said its in poor taste and you shouldn't be surprised or upset that people are offended by it.
Your "fingers in ears lalalala I'm not listening" argument isn't what I was referring to when I said if you come up with a valid argument I may change my view point.
Rational beats puerile I'm afraid.

Are you telling me that making an army to match with ALL my other historical themed armies isn't good justification? This is actually the best justification you have going for you. I would stick with it. Your first post never mentioned that you intended these to be the opposition for your allied themed armies...which I think is an important bit of reasoning behind this project, isn't it?

He's a spotter. He spots things. Then the gunner shoots them.

The wirblelwind is an awesome tank. You should put the sabre defence platform on top a chimera or something and then model the surrounding shield with plasticard bam! now you own a flak panzer.

as above, i have a 1:72 scale model of the wirblelwind (is that spelt correct?) would look best on top of a Russ (if thats your panzer chasis) but will need a wound plate screen, or you could get away with a forward screen...think for small arms fire more than anything else.

Add some armoured side panels and I think it would look better, Prilla just something for a bit more defence. Really great stuff here as always!

I think it would look better if you cut off the plasticard cab section that's under the sandbags and just joing the cab section to the hull closer to the roof hatches. While that would have the treads covering the side doors you don't need to use the side doors because there's roof hatches. Making the front shorter would help with the problem with it being a bit too long.
Personally I would remove the gun from the circular base and mount it directly to the floor so it would be on the same level as the basilisk platform. Having the gun raised up above the chasis like that just doesn't look right to me.
