So, I've decided to keep my armies and projects apart here on the forum as well as in real life. As mentioned, I've started a new SM-army. The goal with this army is to build it 100% by myself instead of buying parts of the army second-hand. I will focus this thread on certain projects in the army and the buildup as a whole! I will aim to build the army in 250p blocks, starting with 750p. The army per say is named "Legio Vindictam" - The legion of revenge. Sort of. They're to be a successor-chapter to the Iron Hands, mostly because I like the extra kit for their tactical squads. The chapter is supposed to be heavily mechanized and armored, so it will be tanks and razorbacks en massé. Well, here's the first pics. Land Speeder Storm: Land Raider: "Donkey" radio-vehicle for the command squad: And lastly, an early try for the ordinary marine: C&C is most appreciated

Awsome! But as Adken said, the Trim will finish it all off and break up the black. The Radio Vehicle is awsome though Dave

Looking really cool maybe you could work some cogs into it to make them look more iron handsey but looking really great anyway

Thx for the comments! I didn't think of cogs, but I will work them in now!
And yes, the marine is an early attempt at the colours. There are some more details on him, but I took the pic in bad light. The big thing with the marines is how to differ the different roles (assault, tactical and so on) but it ain't being stressed right now.
I've done some progress on the donkey, and will soon get some pics on it

Pic-time! Although no pics of the donkey. But I'll try to fix that tomorrow! 3ff3ct: Mayhaps, it seems as my army has taken some mayor steps towards the mechanicum without me knowing it! (You will soon get what I mean ) Krieger: Those pieces would be sweet to use! I'll see if I can get the permission to buy some of the kits Judcottrell: No need ;D First of all, the updated marine: And, the first pics of my scratch-built commander, without paint: And with the first layers of paint: I'm sorry for the quality in the pics. The main reason to why they ain't the usual quality is that I don't have the energy to rig the photo-station at the moment! I hope you'll enjoy the pics anyway!

I think the bands on the shoulder pads really lift the model, and the bone colour is a great contrast. The highlights are great too, I usually get carried away when highlighting black and have to wash them back down again... Keep it up!

Thx 3ff3ct So I've been able to do a little work, mostly some basic rebuilding and the creation of a veteran! Firstly, my commander, just a few minor details left: I'm very pleased with him as he is right now! And an update on the land raider. The gunner ain't that red IRL, I don't know what happened in the pic... Lastly, my veteran: He's just a WIP, but he's getting there! I want to apoligize for the crappy pics, but as the light is at the moment I hade to use the flash on the Nikon... Well, enjoy! Any C&C is most welcome!

I'm ashamed I haven't commented on this sooner, this is some really good stuff!
The small little conversions make a whole world of difference, you'll certainly have an impressive looking force when it's all done!
I wasn't sure of the scheme at first but it's growing on me. The bases however could do with some foliage or something, just to break them up a little.

Dave: I'm to try the new GW-colours for painting bone once my bleached bone is out. But I have two more cans of it! *evil snigger* And they're aaaaaaaall mine Cosmic: I feel honoured by what you wrote! You're one of the best painters in this forum and I feel like a monkey with a brush sometimes when I see yours and others pics So, time for an update! Yeahyeah, I KNOW it's been a while, but one kid at home and 31 at work take their toll... The ones at work is kicked away now atleast! So. Today I got a package. And how does Danesk react when he FINALLY gets his long awaited package? Well, something like this: And this is what I got: I felt like a juvie on Emperors Day! Next thing, I got my tools, my plastic and hacked away! And as these guys is supposed to be an Honour Guard (or acting commandsquad, if the points require it) I wanted them to look kind of elite. You know, the lads with the best toys. And this is my result: Chapter/Company champion Standard bearer: I've started to paint two of them, and my hope is that I'll get those two somewhat decent in the paint tomorrow so that I can show them to you guys without being ashamed! And Cosmic, I've fixed bases on the new ones

Today I have an update with PAINT! The first one with in the HG! Please bear with me though, he's still WIP and he was a tester for a lot of things. And another "I'm sorry" due to the bad light... But I'm pleased, so here he is: I hope that you'll enjoy the pics! And since I've tested many new techniques on this lad I'm really grateful for any C&C you might have!
