They are indeed. Speaking of FW, are you going to pick up Rogal Dorn?

That has to be the best Primarch model so far!

Yeah. It's an absolute beauty of a model. I would love to purchase it, but it would be difficult to justify unless he finds himself working his way into the 40K rule set. Then I'm not sure I'd be able to pass him up. Not sure how I feel painting all that gold metallic.... And I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to do the model justice!

Like I said the shields really add a little something extra! Dorn looks good but I’m with mccaptain all that gold would be a nightmare! What’s next on the painting table?

Everything that got released this month was gold, right down to the Overlord and Stormcast deals.

If I did pick up Dorn I'd probably defy all the fluff and paint him yellow to match his marines.... Well, as to what is next, I have a couple of options. I have a scout squad, librarian in terminator armor and two cherubs that are primed and ready to go (and part of my list for the quickly approaching Adepticon. I have also decided on going with a darker yellow and the dual black trim on the shoulder pads. So, I have slowly been working on bringing my already painted marines into compliance... It is boring and tedious work. And it kills me to redo paint, but I was finding that with the brighter yellow (which I like better), I just wasn't getting a consistent tone across the army. Though the individual marine looks worse in the darker yellow, the army as a whole looks better. How's that for a short answer?

Also, though I like the brighter yellow, the project had been dragging on too long... I am going to switch over to using Averland Sunset. Darker yellow with almost a tan hue, but it paints much faster and the GW Air paints have worked really well for me. Don't like the color as much but it is really speeding up the work. Next up:

When I was trying to paint Marauders I found a brown undercoat followed by Averland was quite easy. Still found it quite hard, as yellow is hard colour to get even but its much easier on the brown. Plus they make mournfang brown spray now.
Really good librarian; the robes have come out very smoothly. I have that model - still waiting to be painted and glued to the base.

@chem. Thanks. Last night I got most of the base colors blocked in on the Librarian. Tonight I should get some details done! My favorite part.

Going to get a decent tax return.... Have been spending the last couple days pricing out a DKoK force. Somebody talk me off the ledge. I'm good being talked either direction. Lol

Lol Something something college fund children are our future pennies saved and pennies earned. You could make those dollars go further on Cadians or Catachans, which both have some really excellent rules in the current codex.

When I said "talk me off the ledge" I may have meant "push." I think I'm safe though. I promised myself I wouldn't start any new projects until after I finish the IF company

Don't buy anything til you finish your Fists. It'll motivate you to finish.
It'll give you more time to think about what you want - but DO put the budget to one side or it'll get eaten by boring bills etc.
I'd also recommend getting a small amount at a time, getting a huge delivery of models is fun but humans are weird and it won't last, where-as getting the same amount of figures over the course of a year and waiting to complete each unit before the next will be more fun.
someone did a study on this, its quite interesting.

Don't bore me with your science!!! Haha yeah. That's a good idea. I have a side project for Infinity and I only buy build paint repeat. It has been very satisfying. Good idea.

I crave that sense of completion!! I find that the promise of new stuff really helps to motivate me! If you want Krieg, go for it! Just remember it’s a marathon not a sprint but at the end you’ll have something truly special.
