Eh, I like green, especially splashed with something else. The idea of Nature as this energy or all encompassing aura that we live in and around, and the monsters that lurk within it. I like Wolves, Druids, Hydra's and just big creatures in general. Also, ents, because treebeard and his buds do work. Also, here is an amusing breakdown of the colors www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er1jNlaN9vAEDIT:: What is everyones experiences with Commander/EDH?

Yeah. I'm all about Boros. I play little dudes, and attack with them, then I light you and your things on fire, while my dudes all buff themselves. Then I'll play a cool that does cool stuff. Sometimes I'll add blue for some neat things, sometimes I'll add black for some neat things, but mostly it's just Boros.
The lack of Angels in current standard makes me sad.

I've got a Norin Soul Sisters deck in Modern. A deck where Norin is actually good is amusing. Purphoros makes Norin a genuine threat.

I played in three prerelease events. Of the three boxes that I picked, I opened 4 Soulfire Grand Masters. I was pretty happy about that.

I was planning on going to a prerelease here but a death in the family changed all my plans. I have a ton of decks I'd like to play in modern. If I get a chance, I'll share some. What are your thoughts on the new ban list for modern?

I think that Dig Through Time wasn't sufficiently powerful to ban alongside treasure cruise, other than that I think it's probably a good thing. Pod was getting more and more powerful as new cards got printed, and Tasigur lets one get a disgustingly early Elesh Norn.

Sorry for the absence, loss of my father plus school. Got some free time now, wondering what you think of Origins? Also, I'm so confused on this new structure for standard. What will be in standard when origins drops? I'm getting mixed messages from the internet and can't find a solid yes or no to what's in and what's out.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. And school is often frustrating.
I like Origins for the most part. I like the things that they are reprinting, and I like the new things. Nothing strikes me as the awesome card that I will love to have though, which kind of makes me sad. At least they made a couple of good Angels, even if they aren't great for my current Standard deck.
The new structure for standard will have no Core sets, and each block will have two sets instead of three. When Origins hits, nothing rotates out. When Return to Zendikar hits, we lose M15 and all of Theros Block. From then on, we'll lose the oldest two sets whenever a new block hits. So after the two sets from RtZ, we'll lose Khans and Fate Reforged. Which is kind of a flavour win, since Dragons is the true timeline.

Awesome! Yeah I was getting really confused by the internet on what was what with this. Trying to decide if I should go to the prerelease tomorrow or not. Probably just save up my cash to work on some standard ideas. Note to self, don't heavily invest in anything Theros or M15 you don't already have. Thanks self.
Yeah it's definitely a neat set, but nothing mind blowing. Few cards I'm looking forward too, like Disciple of the Ring. Great art, cool abilities. I like the idea of "Spell Mastery" as well. Thinking of something with 2 of her, some Spellheart Chimera's and whole boatload of burn/counter. Hmmmmmm

I think you'll have some problems with Disciple of the Ring, it is too expensive and too fragile. It needs to live, and most things you have that target opponent's things should be killing them. If you have a deck full of cards that don't actually kill the things you target, no Disciple, means you're going to have a bad time.
Exquisite Firecraft seems interesting, uncounterable burn is always nice to see, and with Pyromancer's Goggles, it might be the missing link to make a viable burn deck.
I'm liking the look of Renown. Consul's Lieutenant and Citadel Castellan are both pretty cool, throw in Valeron Wardens and the Outlast guy from Khans that gives flying, and you might have yourself a deck.

I see disciple as a finisher. By the time she hits the board, you should have a graveyard full of the control spells you used to keep the board fairly clear. Also being able to use her ability multiple times and for only 1 colorless is amazing. I could be wrong though. Only time will tell.
Yeah Citadel Castellan is really cool, as well as Bloodcursed Knight ( I love enchantments/things that get stuff from enchantments). Him + Helm of the Gods + Gift of Immortality
Renown is definitely a cool thing. Should fit well with stuff like Abzan Falconer for sure.
Red players better start carrying some aloe to hand out with all that burn...

I thought that the Disciple was the 'whenever you target a thing, you get the thing' creature. Nevermind, yeah, it's not bad. It can't blink, and Ojutai is just better, but it's still pretty good.
