nice work,
did you consider ultramarines Landraider doors from forgeworld? ive got a mk2 b raider (think that's the one) with ultramarines doors looks sweet.
also most of the way through painting a sicarion (titan hunter one)
ill post up some pics if you want, don't want to hijack your display space though!

I'll have a look at the doors, I was on a tight budget so went for the decals!
Please do post some pics, it's always good to share tips and see what others are
doing.
I've got the Betrayal at Calth box set coming, but I'm not allowed it to Christmas! Lol!
The Sicaran Venator is a beast, in my last game it took out my Landraider turn 1!

Better late than never but got those pics of the mk2b with forge world doors and ive just realised looking at the pics that ive forgotten to paint the lorels on the front door lol

1 Side door, forgot to shoot the other but its basically got scrolls on it. (bit fuzy sorry)
The Sicarion still unifinished....   I really like the off white / pale blue you use on your scheme by the way, too late for me to copy as most of my company is painted  may invest in a couple of sets of ultramarine heads and torsos etc. from forge world next year. |

Thanks for sharing Dougeye, they're looking great! I love that Venator especially, was it easy to build? I haven't added to my force as I'm waiting til Christmas! Thought I'd post some pics of the whole force laid out:      Can't wait to add more, really happy with how this project is going. |

I see you have a sicarion already so yes very easy if your good at trimming down resin. just swap out the hull mounted weapons for the big gun. very few pieces in the kit. I think forge world realised that glueing track pieces together is the bane of many hobbyists lol

I was going to say have you shaded the recesses between armour panels on your tanks? best done before the final blue layer and highlighting but it makes a better contrast between dark and light areas on the vehicles. I think I shade my ultramarines with drackensomthing nightshade (dark blue). Ive just got a new house and don't have all my kit out at the moment but when I do ill update my ultramarines thread and get some pics of the company.

I don't tend to shade my tanks (I'm a lazy painter!) I may do that in future.

yeah the thunderhawk was warped when it arrived, I straitened it out but after putting away for 6 months it have reverted back to its mold shape, I told forgeworld and they said ever so sorry please choose £400 worth of models as compensation! so I got two assault rams, a bane hammer and a few smaller bits  I then straitened, braced and re glued the thunderhawk only thing is you cant open it up now but no worries. As for the rest, yeah I have far too many tanks for the fluff, and dreadnaughts lol but about 100 marines, 20 terminators vangurads, sternguards etc, only thing I don't realy have for the force is the transports we have been talking about. |

Finally had the opportunity to work on my Ultramarines. I got the B@C box and some Ultramarines upgrade packs. Decided to make a Librarian out of the Chaplain in the box. Here's the results:     |

Brilliant use of that Chaplain model, great transformation. Are you allowed to use libby's in HH? I didn't see an entry in the first book as least and then there's that whole Emperor outlawing psykers thing. I got a tactical squad from that new boxed set for £20, from a certain bits site, it's worth keeping an eye out for when they restock. Last time they bought ten boxes (i.e. 30 tactical squads) and sold out of everything bar the rules, especially when they reduced it by 25%, it all got sold overnight, but I missed out on the £15 tactical squad. Mine might be Fallen Angels when they get painted. |

Yeah Psykers can be used they are a type of Legion Consuls. I'm building as many options as possible, as I'm really enjoying this project. OK, I'm still putting together models from B@C and I built the sergeant below to lead my fourth Tactical squad. Waiting in the wings I've built 3 Vexilla for the other units and a single tactical marine. These will be the final models where I'll be using the old smaller bases. Moving forward I'm going to build a couple of Veteran Squads and a small unit of Fulmentarus. Exciting times!     Thanks for having a look, I'll probably post the Vexilla marines and the odd one as a group. |

Very fast work with those Calth miniatures. Love those studded legs, the punks.
Must have been fiddly work with the transfers but it's worked out very well on the vexillas.
