@ Walk - I hope you read my last post as inclusinve of yourself and fine talents!
Excellent Jedi, I have a feeling once the base is complete he'll look absolutley bad-ass!... love the back story and the mix of classic jedi robes and contrasting high coloured swords looks cool as!
Well done on the momentum too, keep up the great stuff!

Cheers tread, I read that and felt special I wont lie so i really appriciate it. Its become much more of a solo hobby since I got older and this board has become my game store. Its nice having a small group here to show our stuff off too even if theres really only 3-4 of us still around.
But yeah white sucks ass. Theres just so many clones to finish now. I should have done droids

Glad you feel that way Walk, it’s a small community we have here but there’s always loads of support!
Looking forward to seeing more Clones!

Have you tried the apothecary white contrast paint? I've played around with it a bit and it is essentially a soft grey, but it might work well on the clones. Painting white is always intimidating though, good luck.

Glad you feel that way Walk, it’s a small community we have here but there’s always loads of support! Looking forward to seeing more Clones! Thats just what I miss from my younger adulthood was going to hang out at the game store to paint and talk nerd surrounded by some games. Just excited to show off your newest dudes and not be an adult for a bit haha. Now that Im older, its become a much more personal time hobby with friends and store being replaced by privacy and tv haha. Have you tried the apothecary white contrast paint? I've played around with it a bit and it is essentially a soft grey, but it might work well on the clones. Painting white is always intimidating though, good luck. I havnt really played with the contrasts at all to be honest. I really should though. An old friend of mine finally picked up painting 40k during late covid and started with some various power armored squads in different schemes that were just terrible. He picked up some legion stuff recently (like one of all the many different imperial squads) and with a quick guide on the contrasts has them to a admittedly fairly solid tabletop in just a few hours. Hes probably sent me six finished units in the last past two months or so. -Left is just primed and washed, -Center is cleaned and one to two coats of the white or about halfish done -Final product, not flashy but clean enough and looks good next to a bunch more The way I do it (i had painted the first squad a year or so ago), is to spray white and give the clone a full black wash. It really fills into the model and paints alot of it for you, filling it in with a bit of super dark grey black to make the black a bit less flat. Then its just 3-4 super thin 50/50 light grey/white coats over and over. The clone armor is basically just dozens of small sections of surfaces so the thin coats tend to sit well on them, but in the movies and shows their armoe is always a pearl reflective white which I still want that clean pristine feel but still flat to go with that 03 Clone Wars animation/comic book style vibe. And thats the problem, summoning the drive and inspiration to paint several dozen small sections of the same finky color and liquid consistency, 3-4 times each clone, for 21 clones. Anyway heres a teaser shot of the lieutenant and a few other cool poses to maybe inspire me to get going. This will be the lieutenant of the platoon which now has two full 9 man squads. My appeal to the phase ones is the simplicity and uniformity with only ranking clones getting colored stripes. Sgts are the darker green, lts are blue and so on. Then we have two squads of clone commandos. If you ever played Republic Commando back in the day, you know these guys are awesome haha. One squad is for a friend. Couple standard troopers and the second sgt. I got an extra 12 regular clones with the commandos to make a second squad and then round them both up regulation 9 man squads plus an extra i made into the platoon commander. And since no one likes to scroll back, heres 7/9 of the first squad, Kenobi and my own self insert jedi that i need to name.

I think your white is bang on!
Also the green sets him apart without being too non militaristic.
I’m not familiar with the game so I’d like to ask if the factions have vehicles?
Another thing, the basing looks great too! The scorched earth against the white really compliment each other.
Thanks for sharing!

The color markings for the officers/ncos is their cannon markings. Seems silly to boldly mark your officers for snipers but whatever. They do have vehicles, the clones currently have the AT-RT (small little chicken walker), a speeder bike and a hover tank. The bases are going for a Genosis theme and theyre easy haha.

That pretty much sums up the way I'm feeling character looks great though, I've been playing more DnD than 40k lately. It's a fun game

Great stuff!
DnD's loads of fun, and so much easier to set up!
I swaer as you get older time gets shorter, therefore everything has to be done faster, sooner and requires more effort!
Keep up the good stuff!
