Not done any painting recently, mostly been reorganizing my marines and cleaning stuff out. But! I've been tempted to take advantage of some Black Friday deals this weekend to pick up a new project...

At this point I should rename this thread "RedsandRoyals accidentally cuts all his fingertips off while building minis".
Despite my various wounds (now patched with super glue in the approved hobbyist manner), in the past 48 hours I have assembled...
- Two drop pods with varying degrees of difficulty
- 15 blood angel terminators
- 5 Sisters of Silence
- Another techmarine (I think I may have some sort of compulsion to keep making them)
- A chaplain
- A White Scars deathwatch biker
- Five Long Fangs
- A Wolf Priest with a two-handed Crozius (who I made the wolfiest mother*cker possible without him actually being and/or riding a wolf).
I still have two rhinos and a land raider to assemble, and the bulk of the space wolves (another Longfang box and two Getting Started boxes) haven't actually arrived yet. I'll try to get some pics this weekend, assuming I have any fingers left to take them with.

I can definitely relate to the cutting of fingers having lost a huge chunk of my thumb recently. But that's an impressive haul in such a short spell! Looking forward to seeing it all painted up.

I do too, but unless someone does it for me, it ain't gonna happen any time soon. My Deathwatch and BA have priority, and I haven't been feeling the bite of the painting bug recently.

I hear ya, though in reverse. My "blood angels" (lamenters) and death watch are on hold while I do some guard and space wolves...and sigmar, and blood bowl, and 30k. What am I doing with my life?

Painting, painting, always painting! Also, question for the general populace; I'll need to pick up one more Rhino ("I just need one more transport" being the unofficial motto of most Marine players I think), as well as a transport for my Blood Claws. Said transport needs to carry 11 models or more, and ideally would be an assault vehicle, which leaves with one of the Wolf flyers or a Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer. The Land Raider is, weirdly, cheaper in terms of $, and offers a second big scary target to draw fire off the long fangs and rhinos (The Thunderwolves from the Start Collecting box being the first). Also? Probably easier to paint. The flyer is more expensive, but obviously offers more speed and flexibility, and would add yet another flyer to my rapidly growing air force (five transports and four attack aircraft at last count). So which should I go for?

The last few times I've knifed myself I haven't been cut because it somehow bounced off. Keep rolling sixes for my invulnerable save. Land Raiders are pretty fun, the Space Wolf transport is... sort of like a boarding craft for space I guess.

A formation of four smouldering Land Raider wrecks would be a pretty good 2'x2' terrain board. Maybe dead while crossing trenches.

My vote is landraider. People typically get pretty nervous about them and throw way too much fire power their way so if you're looking for a distraction that still has a good chance of hitting enemy lines, you can't go wrong.

aye, land raider... flying transports are a pain to get their deliveries in place.

Then land raider it shall be. My BA army is pretty much all about "SUDDENLY FABULOUS SPACE VAMPIRES" thanks to the deep strikes and drop pods, and the Deathwatch are already pure air cav, so having the Wolves draw fire on the ground would probably work best anyway.

Lots of posting in here but no new pictures. I'll rectify that. Lighting isn't the best, so sorry for that. Wolf Priest up first. The helmet still seems more like "Angry Rat" than wolf to me, but whatever. It seemed like the most appropriate one to use. He has four different wolf pelts (and two wolf tails) on him. And here's my non-jump chaplain for my regular marines. I obviously need to clean the power fist up a bit.

Lone wolf with storm shield and power "lance", using the body of the IC from Burning of Prospero.

Nice! The wolf priest looks like he will cave in the skull of anyone that says his helmet looks like an angry rat, so I don't think you'll have to worry there The other two are looking great too

Last shipment of space wolves (the bulk of the infantry) arrived. 10 hunters and 1.5 thunderwolves complted before I cut my thumb so badly I had to stop for a bit. By the time I had managed to get a dressing on it my sink looked like I had tried to cut someone's head off over it.

Also the Long Fangs apparently mutated into Wulfen during the journey. Or they put the wrong kit in the box.
