Maybe I worded it wrong: they look different, but it is hard to tell if they look like a cohessive force when you have to scroll up and down the page to compare them to the regular sisters. The priest looks good: bright blue is a pretty uncommon color for priests robe but it works really well, really makes him pop.

I think an alt scheme for the Seraphim is a great idea. I was thinking of doing my Celestians as a silver washed with a blue glaze. But the downside of that is committing to specific models being Celestians and then potentially not having enough special weapons or sister for the regular squads or vice versa. I might still use the scheme for Celestine and her girls. Are you going to use the plate metal scheme for her, or give her the gold armour?

Thanks Emptyhat.
I think that would look pretty cool the blue wash, I'm currently working on Celestine and the Gemini's and I've done exactly that with their swords and it works really well, so I say go for it. I've given both Celestine and Gemini's the Gold armour look as it gives the impression that they're more of a HQ, not mess with me vibe. I've put them side by side with the Sereaphim and they look good, Kinda like a Captain Scarlet theme.

Gold armour seems the way to go, looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Finally a sisters update! I think this will be all until the new stuff comes out, it will mean I can save for a bigger order. Serephim St.Celestine: Call me crazy but I much prefer the older model. I don't like the new version of Celestine the wings look stupid. I'm happy with the colours used, I will use the Chrime look once again on the new plastic Serephim. Finally Uriah is back in town.(Some details to finish) He was really fun to paint

Nice models, I get what you mean about the new Celestine model: the wings especially just don't match the style of the rest of the models in the current range. It is a good looking model on it's own though.

Yay Jacobus!
He along with the rest of the sisters look fantastic! Really like the deep red with silver and gold armour.

Cheers gents, I'm getting back into painting again now so I hope to roll out more updates. nutty: I agree, on her own she's decent but within the sisters army I don't like the look of her. I got quite angry and removed the wings from mine, that made me happy. @jud: Jacobus is such a legendary Charcter, I couldn't find him at a decent price so I did have to go to the Dark side, to get my hands on him. I guess he's made of Gold? Just need to finish his back pack now and then that's the sisters done for now.

If I had known you were looking.. I've had an old metal one laying around for ages. Although he might be missing his backpack now that I think of it.

I like your sisters, there is some really neat painting. I agree with you on the old Celestine model, I also like it more than the new one. Keep up the good work.

Lets get some sisters love on the go! After waiting in the baking sun for 45 minutes, I was second in line for the Amalia Novena and it was a glories moment when I finally got my hands on her. I've made the base up and started to build her body. This is by far the best face I have ever painted, I've even done the eyes properly. Still need to highlight her facial features yet. More to come soon.

That’s one angry nun!
The face looks great so far, the eyes are really well done.
I really struggle with doing eyes that don’t look demented!!!
What’s the fluff for Sister Amalia Novena? Is she like a veteran or something?

I'm not going to lie to you, the eyes where pot luck. I realised when I was begining the first face layer, that the eyes are slightly raised which made it a lot easier to do. Not to put presure on but you're better painter than me, so I think you can nail it even better.
Should hopefully have an update shortly.

She does look an amazing sculpt.
You’re doing a great job. What are you going to do with her base?

How would you compare the detailing on her in comparison to Celestine and her back-up singers?

How would you compare the detailing on her in comparison to Celestine and her back-up singers? There are more details on this Sister than the Celestine and twins, just by looking at them both. I get they have wings and so on, but this sister has 360 degree details all the way around her waist belt, the armour is more intresting on her shins.

The hair is looking really rich and good in pic three. How is she for scale in comparison to your metal Sisters?

The hair is looking really rich and good in pic three. How is she for scale in comparison to your metal Sisters? From what I've seen, the metal sisters head is in-line with her sholder pad and the Primus Marine is the tallest. I've seen other people not take into account that she's on a platform and given a false comparison, so you have to be carefull what others say. The other thing I've notice is that people are moaning about the 32mm Base she's on, they suspect GW will have all the sisters on 32mm bases. I've decided to wait and see what GW does, before swapping out all the 28mm bases for 32mm. There is a lot of negativity around this model and I don't understand why?

If you do need to switch base sizes you can just glue the larger base to the old base, wrap some milliput around the terrace contour it a little and add some snow/flock/sand and you end up with a Sister who is probably as tall as the new models. I've done that with my Chaos Marines and Ork Nobz, very quick and you get to keep the metal slot bar on the model.

People on the internet are always getting upset about something.. like how they had to redesign the Cawdor Bounty Hunter because of the hood..
I kind of like 32mm bases myself; they look more scenic if you take the time to base you models. Not that I'll be re-basing my guardsmen anytime soon. A friend re-based his marines and it looks great; definitely worth the effort if you have a smallish number of models.
