The base (and the paintjob) lool great. I like the contrast between the dark front, and vibrant green rear of the model.

This week’s update is an Infantry Squad Advancing. I had a bit of a nightmare building this squad. The instructions were as clear as mud (haha!) with the numbers and letters not seeming to make any sense so I had to offer them up each time before gluing. It may have been because it’s an old kit now as I haven’t had any problems with more recent FW kits. Whats your trick to making the banners look grimy?..
my catachan are (badly) painted for the most part, their scheme is a bit too vivid and this translates to very basic looking banners. (I think I'll have to dirty them all up at some point... though the prospect is daunting as there's so many of them now!)
I vote assault marines... nothing says space marine like massive jet engined armoured warriors diving into the fray!

Thanks nutty and treadiculous! Nothing complicated on the banners, I paint them full then water down some Agrax Earthshade (this stuff is hobby gold!!) Sadly the Dark Angels are being shelved for the time being. My boy wants me to do an “Eastern Fringe” inspired collection, that is Ultramarines, Tyranids and T’au! I’m thinking Nid and T’au themed terrain (currently we’re using Imperial ruins and trenches) With that in mind here’s the latest model for the Nids, I’ve gone with the Psychophage:  Tyranid Psychophage  Tyranid Psychophage  Tyranid Psychophage  Tyranid Psychophage  Tyranid Psychophage Thanks again for the interest! Hopefully I can get a run on this project so plenty more to come! |

Something a bit different this week, I’ve started the T’au element of the Easterly Fringe project! This is the test model, a Cadre Fireblade. I’ve tried to do this a little bit more stark with the highlights so there’s more of a contrast, I feel it works. Just need to add the snow to the base.
